I prefer seeing them using this new Tube design rather than reusing the arc. The arc language is really nice, but they are trying to incorporate the Fingerprint scanner to the Power Button.
It would make much more sense to keep the thickness of the middle body the same (more space for the scanner) rather than trim down its thickness for the Arc design
Id love to see the final Tube design of the "Z5" - hopefully, they can get better naming system for their flagship trios (compact, normal size and phablet)

Kinda Off-Topic
Same device, but 2 different camera sensors used. Samsung's Isocell vs Sony's IMX240.
Winner: Sony Sensor

Conclusion: Sony sucks in camera software department.

That much has always been clear Johnny.
As for the "arc" design. Yeah it was pretty at the time, but its horribly inefficient in terms of space usage. That concave arc basically carves out a region which could be enlarged to fit in a larger battery. A larger battery to me, is more important than the pointless nostalgia towards the "arc" design.
That tube concept is cool. It'd just be bad with glass. Ultra fragile.

The Funny sad fact it is
Any way, I don't think bringing an old design is a good move from Sony to a flagship, maybe a mid ranger okay, but Sony can make brilliant designs, we have Arc, S, OB designs as examples...
so I believe the will do it again...

Fact: Sony camera modules and sensors shine when used by other OEMs

It's basically M4 Aqua specs with larger display and a flash for the front camera and they've got rid of any IP rating but it'll only cost approx £230 sim free which isn't bad at all.

Pretty good specs overall. I like it a lot. 1080p IPS screen and a decent mediatek SOC. Funny how all these ODM designs has good bezel to phone ratio
