I too hope that it's just a prototype, and an old prototype. I hope the real deal will come with, if they still insist with 16 GB, 16, 32 and 64 GB variants and a QHD screen just to be on par with the S5.
S5 will have two versions, QHD and FullHD...
plus, personally I don't care about S5.. Sure I would love for Sony to compete, but not against S5.. looking for something higher, like HTC and iPhone... Samsung made it clear with S3 & S4 that they don't care about perfection.. they care about mass production and increased profit... hell iPhone is selling more and it still premium without sacrificing anything... I don't want Sony to compete with such cheap logic..

Well, it's no surprise that samsung will keep being the undisputed top seller in mobile at least in the coming years. what i'd love to see improved about sony is putting in the market more mature hardware and software - like better camera all around - better auto mode, low light, processing, exposure. to lead in camera quality in all modes at least in the android world. not getting cheap with display quality of viewing angles - they should have used IPS since xperia z, why only now??? they can't read the market that voted for IPS? sony may not use all their power they have in the spec race like samsung but in the other hand apple is doing better job then them on putting more complete and mature devices i think. also, they should turn the z ultra into a second flagship like samsung is doing with the note. oh, and ditch that shatter film. what i wrote are some of the things that will bring them to be in top 3 mobile companies, aside of marketing.

@amirprog, agree... Apple can do it coz every company wants to have business with Apple, the reason is because Apple will guarantee a huge amount of orders... Sony can't offer this as they don't have that strong sales, if yes then companies will be happy to have Sony... One of the reasons of this is because Sony is targeting two flagships per year, so they can't go for higher orders as they will soon change the flagship with another one and different specifications...
I guess the reason for this, why Sony is doing two flagships rather than one. is because Sony do want higher sales, Sony flagships tends to have only timely interests when first launched, after few months peoples will no longer looking for it and will start going for other companies...
having two flagships means that when peoples will start thinking of going away from Sony to other brands they will have another look at Sony duo to the new flagship...
So Is Sony is doing the right thing of having two flagships to increase the sales ?
No, as if the flagship was strong enough and perfect.. it will hold it's power for longer period...
The Problem is Sony does want to move for one flagship now but they can't as suppliers can't doesn't trust Sony yet.. they're just started to trust them like how Qualcomm now.. but still they need more work to do this...
and they can't afford going extreme and rush it and ordering huge amount from suppliers to build the perfect one then the sales doesn't come close to what they hoped..
What I think is that they're working slowly to increase the sales until they reach a point where they can guarantee that a 1 flagship per year will work for the entire year and cover the sales of two separate flagships...

The solution from my side will be cancel the second flagship saving the money for it's development to strength the single flagship in both Advertisement side and Software support side...
Peoples still complaining about slow updates from Sony, some might say most peoples doesn't care about Android version, I say true, but most peoples want every issue to be resolved very soon.. and the minority that care about Android version actually are the peoples who's being asked if one brand is okay or not...
HTC and Samsung are accelerating updates, and Sony is trying to follow them.. but they will not if they keep flooding the market with multiple flagships... fewer devices = more time for each device = faster updates...
No body want's to have a $600+ flagship and then forgotten in less than a year... people hate to have anything then in few months there's a another newer model.. it's like having a new car which is supposed to live for 3 years of being unique and new then just in one year the company redesigned & face-lifted it with better design and features !! you will hate your new car which became old !!

Annual best-selling handsets of 2013:
Apple Iphone 4S, 97 million sold
Samsung S4,over 55 million sold
Nokia Lumia 520, 10 million sold
SONY XPERIA Z,6 million sold
BlackBerry Q10, 3 million sold
isn't that enough proof that sony can be strong enough with one flagship per year?
i don't know how accurate this list is but if it's updated for the whole year then Z sold more then the praised LG G2 and Note 3.
there is no details yet for 2013 best selling manufacturers. i expect sony to jump one rank up in sells. they were ranked 7-9 in 2012.

if "irimas" (from xda) prototype is the final design. seems like a wishlist - the top and bottom bezel are very thin, really not typical for sony choice of thin profile design over small bezel and thick profile.

On an unrelated matter, I was hoping the alpha6000 would be cheaper than that, polish currency on the site and at 2700pln, it is a bit too much for me to replace my NEX-5N, unless the body alone if sold will be cheaper, but I doubt it.
