@aremaboy Yes i have the same issue with the two alert tones mentioned. They used to play on the previous firmware (R1CB001) but not playing on this firmware (R1ED001). That is a very strange one.

Aha, it's so bizarre that these three alert tones are not playable anymore in R1ED001. Can anyone with capability in music/mp3 analyse them, say, the bitrate, the duration, etc. I suspect such a bitrate or compression is 'troublesome' in R1ED001. Please. It's really strange.

Please explain if this is really important or just the product of bug hunting? How are these bugs found? By accident, or after hours and hours, and hours of searching through every menu and function on the phone. I think that we are really going over the top now with this.

As I said before, it's found by accident. Believe me, sapporobaby, I'm not a bug hunter. I always said 'my findings'-because I found it after my normal use of the phone. My curiosity is triggered by the fact that they are playable in my previous f/w. Am I wrong to scroll around my Music folder just to play my mp3 files and by accident found this bizarre thing? Am I wrong to ask the expert why?

Has anyone noticed that after the update via SEUS (R1ED O2 branded) that the volume of the tone you've set for the alarm is a lot lower than in R1CB? I struggle to wake when it goes off now where as before it would wake me straight away.

@sapporobaby
Thanks.
Guys The Information i know and find out from my sources is always given to you people. I do get sony service bulitins and have passed all the info on here to people. However the info is only relevant to the UK. However the EROM is worldwide ava, Why other areas havnt been given it i dont know and prob never will do.
sapporobaby is correct. If you havnt had any problems with the phone white screening in the old EROM, then chances are you will never have a fault.
** Guys and Gals, SE do read this thread ** However fixes will not come instant, First of all SE have to take the findings away and check it out. If its nothing major then it wont be a major priorty.
If you have any other probs or questions you are more than welcome to pm me. Bear in mind that I also have a day job too
Thanks

Hey Aremaboy,
Where have you been anyway? Have not seen you around for a while. Anyway, I know you are not a bug hunter but an avid user. There is a difference and I can appreciate your exuberence. As I said before, maybe you and mwarner should collaborate on an additional thread linked to this that points out new or unusual finds. By linking them, people can have a sort of new and improved verses the old.

Just noticed a couple of bugs still present with R1D:
The predefined MMS template "I love you", comes back with "some items could not be added" when clicked on.
Cell Information (area code) doesn't show on screen when turned on
Both these may be specific to Vodafone UK firmware, anyone confirm?

Hope this answers your questions.
It does, thanks.
I still think the first post needs updating to remove the 'updated EPROM' form it's 'Improvements' section as the EPROM only updates via a Wotan/Service Centre update so we don't all get it.

I've just noticed that you can set up Opera Mini as wallpaper.

Anyway it is useless...
(I know that is possible in R1ED001, but strange that Opera Mini is coded that way...)
