@wanqa: These pics remind me of those shows on Discovery Turbo. Seriously only the guy who created that atrocity could care to show it off to the world albeit a receptive crowd...indeed, as they say, taste is subjective.

@ da brixsta:
It certainly is. Not to be out-done, there were these monstrosities too

Hey guys hows it going?i've been scarce lately as ive had lotsa things going on in life the biggest of which was getting married at the end of jan...
so now its time for me to upgrade my contract, however i refuse to be tied down by a high contract so i'm taking out a cheap on this time around the R150 mark.will buy a high end phone cash rather....
what i need is navigation and edge aswell as decent cam....everything is pretty much a given ,i've narrowed it down to 3 phones the 5800,6220 or the 6210 navigator.
which would you take?or is there a sony erricson or some thing else i'm missing?

Good to have you back. Lol, IMO thats a no brainer, 5800xm is your best bet. Its got all that you want including Nokia Maps with Touch navigation also Its going to have lots of attention from Nokia since its so popular so it will have constant FW update support for the next year and a half, otherwise go for 6220c

just my 2c worth.

Have to agree with Gucci there, and here's a classic example of how apps etc for S60 touchscreen are developing at a very rapid pace (article found on GSMArena yesterday):
'Multi-touch coming to for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, sort of'
Yes, you read it right. A developer created a simple game introducing the multi-touch implementation. The application itself reminds the popular Guitar Hero console games, but its breakthrough may established a whole new path in the mobile software.
Jamie Fuller, a UK programmer, successfully created the first multi-touch application for Symbian S60 5th edition or Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in particular. The app it's still at it's alpha stage, but you can easily get the idea.
The real news today is that the multi-touch game called Space Dancer is now available as a free download from Jamie Fuller's website. The basic game reminds of the popular console series Guitar Hero, where your objective is to touch the correct music notes flying on screen in accordance to the currently playing music track.
Up until not long ago it was considered impossible running multi-touch apps on resistive touchscreen displays but there are some companies such as Stantum, for instance, that are already working successfully on the task.
Now we see the same feat managed by a third-party developer using only software methods - and best of all, running on a popular handset. The exciting opportunities are overwhelming.'
There's a demo of this in action on youtube as well.

Great pics, rhino.
Good subject matter for the sepia shot, and the macro picked up those bonking beetles well, LOL.
A glass of beer for 5c... and the cheaper variety of brandy for 10c!! Eish, it's a good thing that they're still not those prices; can you imagine how much of the nation would become permanently pissed?
