No, i don`t think it`s better, but have a very usefull thing like a smaler picture size with

totaly same quality in comparsing with compression wich resulting biger pictures size, and

no chance for human eyes to see the differences.... Tonight, i will make compare test...

Mladen's pic is brighter than Kriomags but they are both blurry looking.

thanks for info Mladen i appreciate your work. i rembember smaller size trick from GxG drivers. exactly this same automatic compression was there because of wrong calls (without SET_) to SET_JPEG_ macros i think.

by the way... do you have any theory what for are quantization tables defined in camdrv? i'm asking because they aren't used and looks like in fact quantization tables for compression are created dynamic somehow for every photo and are different for different photos (on same camdrv).
