Ye,Rhino, dont incovenience yourself, it doesnt take that long, plus Nokia Software Updater is in the PC Suite disk,so you can just install and run the update, should take at the most 45mins if you're using a standard 3G connection.

Only worrying part is after the update is done downloading and starts doing the update, ive updated my N80 once, N81 4times and my K850 twice, never had a failed update, its very rare, unless you have a very unreliable PC, you shouldnt worry, but if it realy is THAT stressful, take it in.

For me it takes more time, hassle and money to get to the official walk-in Nokia repair centre in central London for something I can do by following on-screen prompts n' procedures. Plus there's the worry of the thing picking up any marks from someone less sentimental handling the thing at the shop/centre.

Nah, updating firmware is pretty easy once getting over the inexperienced-fueled fears of making a terminal cock-up in the firmware update procedure/s, and with a flat-rate broadbrand it's a no-brainer for me. Sure, I was nervous the first time I updated firmware, that's normal.
But it's just become another procedure now.
