i really can't get over the "back" button. in another thread somebody specified that it has been introduced due to consumer demand...

Now I ask you - which way is simpler? Keeping your hand permanenetly on the 5-way jog dial (which also incorporated the back function)

or

using the 3-way jog dial, then moving your hand to the back button?!

3 way jog dial and back button are pure crap if you ask me. Instead of one button (the 5-way jog dial) they have made it into two buttons, let alone that one function missing (I refer to the jog dial inwards, which is curentyl not mapped).

bigger screen ... hm ... anyone ever thought about such screen wasn't avaliable in the configuration se wanted it ? or maybe it was avaliable but it would take too much batterie ? they also could have taken the old screen and in the end everyone would have complained about its resolution
i like the phone its the first larger step(in the history of the p series) since the p800, and its a good step! it contains every good aspect of the last generation, they made it better thru going with the competion and put the keyboard under the screen and the new UIQ is just the strawberry on top of a delicous cake(hmmmm....cake)

Hmm didnt i miss alot while i was away....I am still undecided on this phone i love the back of the phone and the top design wise and the front keypad has grown on me but i am not sure about the built in keypad inside or the light colour.

I know that sounds really fussy but hey thats me, hopefully it will grow on me, better get saving. The features are great though 2mp camera is more than enough and wi fi is a big plus point.

When I hold the P990 I don't feel the screen to be smaller.

I can only see how shorter it is when I place it side by side with a P910.

When you have the opportunity to hold a P990 for a while you'll see that you will like a lot the new screen. And it will not feel small!
