this i quite possible that while sending the settings the service may have get activated
becoz the way this thing works is
that the se site sends the instruction to gsnl server that the saod settings are to be sent to this no. suppose 94xxxxxxxx
the gcnl server then sends the settings to tat no. on behalf of se
and in tat way the service ,ay have got activated
ps. i had activated mms in a way on airtel, and then i had free mms for 2months but now it had became payable!!

Guys guys, hold on. Seems I've created a ripple out here.
Here are the WAP and MMS settings:
WAP settings for BSNL AP:
APN: bsnlwap
Username: ppp
Password: six characters (comes as ******)
Login request: Off
I.P Address: Automatic
DNS Address: Automatic
Authentication: PAP
Internet mode: HTTP
Proxy Address: 010.031.054.002
Port: 9401
MMS settings for BSNL AP
APN: bsnlmms
Username: ppp
Password: three characters (comes as ***)
Login request: Off
I.P Address: Automatic
DNS Address: Automatic
Authentication: PAP
Internet mode: WAP
Gateway Address: 010.031.054.002
But I guess U'll hav to download these settings as U don't know thw password.
I had 1st downloaded these settings sometime in Feb and was accessing GPRS since then. Recently, when freworld's settings didn't connect me to GPRS, I tried registering GPRS (That was in June). But still freworld's settings didn't work out. So removed all settings and downloaded the settings again from SE site. But mind U, I was able to access GPRS even before I registered for it (in June). It was not free though.
My number starts with 9440. Earlier the min balance limit for GPRS access was 500 but now its 250. My current balance, a measly 12
Any further questions?

@Girish
Thanks for writing dude... Dear yesterday I had checked with CC, they said Downloading setting from SE site or any site will not result in activation of GPRS. They also said, they got SMS request ACTGPRS from ur number on June 16th. Currently ur GPRS in inactive due to Less balance. Is this information correct???
1 thing is clear now, that in AP. Minimum balance required to access Offical gprs is Rs 250/-. If balance goes below that then immediately GPRS will be inactive. There is no other way of activating gprs without maintaining the required minimum balance.
I called CC to check abt the status of my compliant registered on 25th (MMS activation), they said first I need to maintain minimum balance of Rs 250/- which is must for using MMS.
Girish I request you, please try freworld tricks properly, freworld is a very nice person, he will give u full support and help.
where do u stay in hyd? feel free to call me anytime,....

@stayback whats the point in using this trick if someone already gets the service activated.. And i don't think so that gsnl activates only mms and not the full Gprs otherwise.. .. Am talkin about post paid..i think you are talkin about prepaid Becoz if someone gets those activated then there isn't any need for him to pay unless he uses Gprs.. But what one can do is get the mms activated and use its apn to sure the Gprs... But in postpaid there is a fixed rent which has to be paid irrespective of the usage.. Is it so you are talkin about?.. Rectify me if am wrong...
