I can confirm this bug with the latest firmware. It occurs when Contacts is too slow to start up in order to reveal the caller's name.

grrr i tried another memory stick and the phone started acting crazy again with messages asking to restart the phone >
the phone never crashed on me before like this its only acting wierd with every new memory stick >

I have a SW ver R7A001
Video Calling problem - Calling a Nokia 6280 and N80
Signal Full Bar 3G network Ok
- Sound very very choppy cannot understand / Video quality OK (N80 side)- (p990 - N80)
- Cannot see any on Video (Nokia 6280 side) and sounce very very choppy
(N6280 - P990)
But on both phones I can see and hear N80 and N6280 very well with my P990
When the N80 and N6280 called each other both Video and audio was Ok
strange?!?!?!
My theory is P990 is transmitting at a higher RESOLUTION compared to Nokia that the 3G network is having a hard time decoding .
Since there are pictures also that i take at 2MPix which I cannot use as Wallpaper nor Contact Picture
can sony do something with this
ALSO 2:30min of using Video Call the P990 hangs!!!

I just found a very annoying bug on my P990... I already checked this with another P990 user and he has the same problem.
While in FO mode when I call certain numbers that require DTMF tones to be sent I can't bring up the virtual keyboard. What happens is that while the call is going on I press the space bar for a couple seconds to have virtual keyboard appear and it does appear but immediately dissapears terminating the call at the same time, but leaving the screen with the picture of the call as if it still were going on. This happens with some phone numbers only, but they are very popular 800 numbers that a lot of people use. The numbers I dialed are the AT&T calling card access number (1-888-426-2273) and American Express Travel (1-800-235-9426).
I suspenct this may happen with whole lot of other phone numbers. I have removed the flip from my phone, and this bug makes my phone useless since I dial a lot the AT&T access number.
Anybody else had this problem? Any ideas?

i bought and installed im+ on my 990, i have been using it for a few days now, but recently it has started to give me an error saying "memory not enough" and then it shuts down......i have a 2gb card in my phone, wat can i do to rectify this.?

Not much other than to re-start the phone and make sure no other apps are running.

What else do u have running at the same time? Try downloading swissmanager

Has anyone managed to activate WorldMate Pro on their P990i?
The program installs in demo format but when I try to activate it, it fails to connect to the MobiMate server.
