That's your answer:-) If the CDA is not .../1 (some have reported /2 as well) there is no update for you yet. The current update only works for World Generic 1, that is CDA../1.

i am going to update...but before that i want to sync the contents in my phone with my pc.in the sync manager,i see the option of syncronising only contacts.what about SMS and 3rd party softwares i installed.how do i sync them with my pc??
i remember i had updated my phone a day after i bought it.i had only synced the contacts thus losing the couple of sms i had stored.

I cannot find any option to sync my SMS messages from the P990. Have updated my FW, and everyhting seems like working allright.
Update process did lose all my SMS's and eMail accounts

Only Se can answer that and they never do. It just appears as and when. The last one for branded phones was about a month to 6 weeks after.
