Anyone know if the SE online update service works on a W580i from O2? Just ordered one as an upgrade from them...
TIA!

Does anyone know how I can get MMS and WAP to work on my w580? I went on the SE website (support section) and filled in everything that i needed to but they don't send me the settings.

You don't need to do that.....go into the setup wizard on the phone and slect operator settings. The settings will automatically be installed and applied as per the sim in the phone.

I bought a new unlocked, unbranded W580i a week ago, as an upgrade from my old W810i. I thought long and hard about doing this, as I really didn't want to lose the auto focus facility, and to a lesser extent the light, but do prefer the slider format and, being a much newer phone, there are many subtle improvements, for instance the fact that you can use more phone functions in flight mode, and the clock shows in Walkman mode, and also in text message writing etc, etc.

Although I very much like the new phone, there is one area where it is inferior to the W810i that I definitely wan't expecting - it just isn't as loud at maximum volume, when comparing the 2 with graphic equalisers on the same settings. I like my music quite loud, and the W810i was satisfactory but the W580i leaves me constantly wanting more.

Has anyone else found this, of do you think that it could vary from phone to phone?

The current software verysion is:

CXC1123362
R6BC002
070607

I guess it depends on what you are comparing it to. I still have my old W810i so can make a direct comparison and its definitely louder than the W580i.

Louder than what - a W810i?

As I said, comparing the 2 phones that I have, the W810i is louder, but I am only referring to sound through the headphones.

I just read a w580 review: how come it doesn`t notify you when you have a missed call on standby mode? That`s a big flaw.
