I was running vista but with the old xp pc suite.
I plugged the P1i in and it was detected by the pc and the drivers installed but the pc suite could not recognise it.
So, I uninstalled the pc suite and installed the latest vista compatible one but still the P1 was not recognised
I wondered if somehow the old drivers were still operating or something else so I plugged my m600 in, it was redetected and drivers installed and after the the P1 was, and has multiple times now, been detected correctly by the pc suite
I synch with outlook and it all went fine, just as with m600

@masseur : what CDA do you have ? as on mine (CDA 162024/51) it was only exchange active sync pre installed.
Is there any possibility to extract your BBC sis file from your P1i ?
Thanks in advance
Marc

I managed to use the Sync Manager with my P1i to sync all the contacts to my XP computer. Then synced all the contacts onto my new BB Pearl as a result.

mine is CDA162024/87 R1A
when I get back to my laptop I'll have a hunt around for anything obvious, but I'd say its unlikely
I haven't checked the CD yet, actually I don't even know if there is a CD in the box as I've been too busy playing to look much in there

thats still more than I paid, and I don't have to wait 4 more days
it'll be good to get more P1 owners on here though, providing some good feedback for others still thinking about buying

Hehehe... so any regrets Masseur?
What do you think about the "indicator LED'....?
I missed the blinkers from the M600i...

yeah, the led strip by the fastport is nice. it lights up when the power is connected and it blinks when you have a missed call, or unread message etc
its just a shame its on the bottom of the phone though, it would have been better on the top
