Someone's working on a totally new Touch UI for wm6, especially for the diamond and Touch Pro: G-sensitive scrolling, new use of the touch hardware buttons, etc..
See here:

I looks awesome!

So to the people who own and have used the Diamond Touch, what is the verdict? I have read conflicting reviews on it. The points of contention generally are:
- battery life. Some have described this as abysmal at best, and some even worse than that.
-sluggish interface - apparently while the 3D Touchflo is great eye candy, there are reports of serious lag and delay.
-Self resets - some have said it resets itself from time to time, 5 times in 3 days was reported by one user. This conjured memories of the P990 in it's early days?
I am seriously considering getting the HTC Diamond as I have lost faith in SE's ability to deliver the X1 as advertised, given their history with high-end devices of late (P990 anyone?!)
Your constructive advice/response will be greatly appreciated.

The 3d TF was slow when I first got it, these days I use my Ram more effectively so theres no problems!
Battery well with 3G on its a problem I think they ironing that out with the next update.
Never had a reset in almost month.

thanks for that quick response. after submitting my post I remembered that you can go to
www.google.fr/gmm and that worked for me too.
so, its all back to normal now and its noticeably quicker both navigating and also in start up time
for those interested...
As mine was an orange diamond it came locked but with generic WWE firmware. I unlocked it straight away but before I could upload the firmware I had to put the hard SPL lock on (1.40 OliNex unsigned) and upgraded the radio to 1.00.25.05 and then installed RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_1.93.401.2
I got all that from xda developers as HTC won't let you register non generic HTC handsets in order to get the new firmware
