QVGA is perfect for 2.8 inch. VGA for this is useless, it uses up lot more battery without a good enough increase in picture quality

depends on your eyesight. Personally I would rather VGA and decreased battery life. It will still get through the day on normal use. If wifi/hsdpa is used heavily in anyone day you will need a recharge regardless of the screen res.

The 3 position slider on the side of the phone is a great idea. One is still camera, one is video camera, one is view pictures. Select the correct option and press the shutter button and you are there.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. K850i anyone?
I was making a comparision between my N95 and the Samsung. I have absolutely no idea if a similar 3-position switch is available on some, all or no-other handset is existence. You are obviously the 3-position media switch specialist around here.
It was not a statement of innovation, it was a statement that I found its presence an improvement of the absence of same on the N95.

Haha, all good mate. It was just an observation. It's a good feature no matter what phone it's on!

QVGA is really ancient tech IMO, VGA or better is fast becoming the norm with high end devices.

Just read review of this in What Mobile mag and the picture quality looks amazing. But the only thing they said was poor about the phone was its signal strength. Does anyone notice that with this phone and would it be fixed in an update. I would love this phone.
