im having a good time today since i found out about this GPRS shadow thing using OPERA MINI.
actually i have a POCKET PC that does not have the inherent JAVA PLATFORM support that most SYMBIAN phones already have. but that is not a problem, JBED did the job of making my pocket pc understand JAR and JAD files.
and i got the MODDED OPERA MINI 4.2 to work on my pocket pc.
i have got questions.
1. I searched around and read some post that some could use the deafult mobile browser on their phones for browsing by just changing the PROXY SETTINGS on the network GPRS settings, in my case SMART GPRS?
...so if i just apply a proxy to the SMART GPRS settings, will my POCKET INTERNET EXPLORER work and surf for free? - tried doing this with POCKET IE applying a PROXY to Smart GPRS, doesnt work.
2. do really need to install OPERA? i currently have OPERA MINI 4.2 the modded one and OPERA 9.5 installed. the modded one i have proven to work since i can browse with 2pesos load only. But how can make the OPERA MOBILE 9.5 to work, there is no TOOLS>SETTINGS>shadow tick or proxy available there?
3. i can assign a proxy to the SMART GPRS but where, HTTP, Secure WAP, WAP, SOCKS? i have this four available under my SMART GPRS proxy settings. which should i assign 221.2.174.164 to?
4. After installing modded version 4.2, the PROXY seems to be hardcoded on the program itself hence the MOD, what versions are available where i can change the proxy (there are many available here) just in case the proxy hard coded into the modded 4.2 will be blocked?
5. My internet connection at home runs 24/7, can you teach me how to setup an online proxy so that i will have a sure connection everytime?
