your own wifi is free, of course, but O2 also offer wifi through partners such as The Cloud and BT Openzone. Also, after your first connection to each partner service where you key your phone number in, the connection is automatic.

Perfectly explained. So great, I have my own WiFi at home and in the office, and 3G WiFI through O2/partner networks when I am out and about. Then I can continue using my trusted Vertu just for calls and sms with Orange. Wahoo, fantastic Masseur, thanks for clearing it up.

Might go an collect a 32gb 3GS from Apple in Dubai tom.

Hi can anyone tell me if the iPhone 3GS has a TFT screen? I have been trying google but can't find the info anywhere

Just want to know as it means I can see it in sunlight. This will prove important with the Tom Tom holder and app on a sunny day.

I can't be sure what the screen technology is, though I assume its TFT

but more importably, I use my iPhone outside alot of the time and can't recall having any problem seeing the screen outdoors, though of course, in extreme sunlight you may need to put the iPhone in your own shadow. Its not something to worry about IMHO

Thanks masseur, it does seem very strange the info isn't out there? I would also assume it's TFT. Glad to know it's readable in sunlight. I just may get one tomorrow, day off work, so long as my PAC code comes, if it doesn't can I call Orange and request it at all? I think it was Friday but maybe Thursday when I requested it.

I'm still loving it but I've got a little issue. Any help would be great.

Right I've decided to to manually manage my music because I have more than the phone can hold.

I've made a couple ringtones because I can't stand the default ones. When I tick the "sync ringtones" box it tells me it's going to delete all my music. WTF is that? Why does it want to delete my music?

@apolloa, get it tomorrow anyway. don't wait! you can soon call O2 with your pac code as soon as it arrives

@coxy, I also manage my own music but I don't have that option checked. I have created my own playlist for what I want on the iphone (called my music) and in the "music" tab of itunes, I specifically choose that, and purchased music, and thats all I get on the iphone

maybe try that?

I don't use ringtones as all my phones always are on vibrate only

Its due to the way you have set up sync...

What I tend to do is set it to manual...

Then drag and drop what I need to, its so easy this way and no hassle... I have experienced this, since then being doing it this way...

Hope this helps

Cheers
