Hi nfj9,
As of now
are not recalling the phone, but some retailers have decided not to sell the phone until the software errors are fixed in an update.
Thanks
Luke

I send today email to SE tech Support with question about new FW for black Sato and posted them list of bugs in case they didn't noticed bugs. The reply was fast, about half an hour:
Dear Sir,
Answering for your question, we recommend that You should wait for new FW which will be available for two weeks.

I would rather wait 2 weeks and get a proper FW update than take a ''just got speed'' one

This is the answer I got from SE
####################################
Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson support centre.
T-mobile stopped selling the Satio for a short time while they developed an update to amend the faults in their first software release.
This, we believe, has only affected T-mobile customers.
If you are a T-mobile customer, you may want to run the Update Service in order to keep up to date
######################################
So it effects branded handset of Vodafone and TMobile?

That is made to sound like a fault by T-Mobile. Sony Ericsson would have built the software for T-Mobile!
My guess is that SE weren't (aren't) really clued up on doing custom builds on Series 60, which might be why they've made such a mess of the standby screen options (namely anything but the SE standby screen not working).

I bet they are so red faced its happened again when they promised things would be better. You would think the time it took for them to release the bloody phone they would have got things right

Come on SE
