@ascariss, regarding Canadian 5G we have bigger issues beyond the auction of spectrum which already places us a year behind the rest of the world in terms of sub-mmWave (real world use case). Right now the USA administration is pushing Canada to NOT use Huawei equipment (even in non network station use like UK has done); claiming security leaks and no access to security info from the USA. Canada gov talking big stating we'll not be bullied in today's news ... but we all know who's the Butch and who's the worm in such a situation (Butch is the bully, worm is the mouth piece wimp in Little Rascals).

I like the multi-window switch feature, not seen that before.
Where's that multi window Switch feature?
Press (2) near the bottom of the page.

Sweet find! I'm hoping Sony allows for it's Multi-window mode to have user pre-selected pairs of apps (such as a desktop) to jump into. Browsing+Docs, Video+Messaging, Maps+Notes/Chrome/FireFox.
I've really been missing out on a lot here since being on iOS.

Good, they need to up their marketing as this is a good phone. Funny how the 3.5mm jack, introduced in the 1950's, is the most raved about feature.
I really do hope we see a good bundle. Europe seems to get good bundles before the UK does.
It's all about the Hi-Res Audio (both wired and LDAC over Bluetooth). Sony is pushing the ads using XM3's ... yet it's just over a year old ... so looking to see a bundle with WF/WH-1000XM4's which will be due late Summer/Spring respectively.
Last I recall the Z5/Z5 Premium had this must attention. The high of the mk 2 has me worried as I have small hands and preferred the compact lineup.

Has anyone here used 5G ?
Reading reviews of 5G phones, they complain even in cities with 5G you dont get it everywhere.
One guy from Android Authority or Central said even in downtown he had issues.
You get 5G here, but not across the street, then again on next block.
sub6 5G is like going from HSUPA+ to LTE it will not make your life any better. 5G mmwave will make a revolution in communication between devices and mobile phones will have a tiny share in it unless processing brute power becomes laptop like. SO basically there are not a lot of benefits in 5G right now if you are a normal phone user.
I think too many of us are too caught up on devices getting 5G without really understanding it's benefit. Samsung is pushing 5G hard yet not really focusing on it's benefits.
@Cool_Sauce you're right 5G mmwave will make a huge revolution in communication between devices ... but phones will not be the main focus. Think of Cars and motorcycles in complete communication: one car hits a pot-hole and every vehicle behind it on the same or intersecting roads will know about it (think of Waze maps but no need). Also think of Police vehicles not only being completely hidden from tracking apps but also having ability to remotely break a stolen or high speeding car, you being able to find theives of your care in real-time and share the feed of internal and external camera's and microphones to your insurance company. Telsa is already working on it's on insurance offering since it has all the real world data of your car. shipping and receiving will have complete real-time accuracy of items on-route, your Xperia 1 mk2 order at your store will tell you exactly when it arrives. Robotic stock trades will have even faster data.
like owlsfan_72 stated ... and how Sony is focusing on the 5G phones is the content shared or downloaded:
Songs, Video streaming Up/Down with increased quality will benefit. But although you can swipe a huge webpage within .5 seconds of it loading ... you a human cannot read the entire page that quickly. The UI of the entire phone would also need to be faster to do multiple tasks - maybe even automation will need to be used more:
every morning download the latest EDM sets across the world shared the night before (4hr of music in 10mins)
upload your game recordings
map location for your retro built RX-7 Sequential Twin Turbo from your phone while still having a video conference (your eyes are on the road; unless your wifey/gf is driving or your boy is) on route to the office.
The phone could be an integral connection hub to all other data driving access points in our lives but using mmwave will still have it's limited use cases. As a modem for your laptop will be sweet when pricing drops significantly though.

USA 5G support:
http://anisimoff.org/eng/5g/spectrum/5g_usa.html
a more simplistic chart:
https://www.phonearena.com/ne[....]-vs-T-Mobile-vs-World_id116781
You have frequency range 1 (FR1) that includes sub-6GHz frequency bands, which are not that far from the 2-3GHz bands used by current 4G LTE networks; and then you have frequency range 2 (FR2) that uses frequency bands above the 24GHz range and further into the extremely high range often referred to as millimeter wave range (mmWave). Put simply, FR1 are bands that can travel further and can be used for wider roll-out of the 5G network. FR2 bands, on the other hand, are extremely challenging: these bands provide immense amounts of bandwidth, but cannot travel far and hardly go through obstacles like walls.
Verizon's 5G network is based on the 28GHz and 39GHz bands, both high-frequency band in the millimeter wave (mmWave) range
AT&T is currently rolling out a 5G network based on its 39GHz band (band n260).
Sprint is using band 41 for its 5G roll-out and it is currently the only US carrier that does not use a high-frequency band, but is instead using a mid-frequency band for its 5G service.
T-Mobile is using its 600MHz spectrum on LTE Band 71, which was formerly used by channels 38 to 51 on UHF-based TVs. These are low-frequency signals that easily travel far and wide, unlike mmWave.
T-Mobile is also planning to use higher-frequency bands similar to what AT&T and Verizon use. Magenta plans to use the 28GHz and 39GHz bands for high-speed 5G transmissions.
Man I really love the styling of this Xperia 1][ ... sleek, mean, ... just proppa!
Yea I've seen those sites. ATT's main 5G is mmwave (high band) but they are also pushing out a low band (sub6) 5G network. It's rollout is coming, but even so, the sub6 bands to be supported by ATT aren't what the Xperia 1m2 support

Official vid. Look at 1:04...
UI of Cinema Pro shows 64GB, 70mm, IS064, Shutter 22.5.
Website also does not mention raw noise reduction like we see on X1 page.
