Then let's agree to disagree.
Straight leaked information is fine, of course.
But fortunately I have the presence of mind to enjoy leaked information with a little inconsistency and naughtiness.

spektykles, most of us, including my self, really appreciate and enjoy your leak. Ignore a little bit of mindless criticism. I hope you keep leaking!
If you think my criticism is senseless, you can also quote me, I'm not touchy. I've been part of this community for 17 years....I am, like many others, a fan of the Sony brand (Ericsson before that). We grew up together with the brand, on various sites on the web (xda and others): being part of a community means supporting each other, providing value that helps those who need it. We have always followed the release of new products, trying to find out in advance what the news was and comparing ourselves together to understand if the investment was worth it or if it was better to focus on other paths. At the time, there were guys who were saving money little by little to be able to afford the new device (since the one they had was obsolete). Spektykles (who I respect as a person), like other leakers, in my opinion, "boasted" several times about the fact that he knew useful information, without providing real help to those who needed it. All those turns of phrase, smileys, riddles, all those yes, no, maybe.... are "jokes" that only made him laugh, and certainly not from a site of enthusiasts looking for useful information for a new purchase. If you can't be clear, better not to confuse ideas, if you can be clear... be clear. I repeat, I have nothing against spektykles, but I have found, more than once, that his giggles and riddles did not bring any help. And it is not only true for him, but for many famous leakers... who speak only to show that they know "something" more than others. This has never been the purpose of this community.

Can someone who follows all this a bit more closely tell me what the likelyhood of other releases this year are? From what I can make out, 10 VII is fairly certain and probably sometime in Autumn. Is there anything else? Any 5 replacement? Will 10 move upmarket? If there is any info about these points is it reliable in any way or pure speculation? Thanks.

5 series likely gone. 10 series likely announcing later this year. Chip rumored snapdragon 6 gen 4, but was hope they put 7 gen 4 and maintain competitive pricing.

They dropped the 5 and only lost 35k units, we knew 5 was the worst seller but we didn't imagine it was this bad. Keep in mind that annual numbers also include previous models sold that year.

I think your math is a bit wrong there.
2.8 million to 2.45 million is a drop of 350,000 units for the entire year, we have no idea how much of that is the 5.

What we know for sure is that sales of 5 can only be substantially less than 350K. This is also a year where no new products were announced for US except FP1

Interesting to see this thread still kicking after all these years, cheers for those who could still buy Sony phones locally, and I'm glad that Sony kept the 3.5mm jack and microSD slot on the new flagship even after everyone else have moved on.

and what is wrong with OEM? the OEM is making the device to the customer's specification.
