I would suggest you do what it says on this SE page.

"Consumers who possess this charger should stop using it immediately, remove it from the socket and contact the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre on 0800 587 6072. A free replacement charger will be dispatched, together with a pre-paid envelope for the user to return the charger to Sony Ericsson for inspection."

I received an SMS from O2-UK yesterday: they want to exchange all phone chargers manufactured in THAILAND by DELTA. If you have a charger made by Salcomp (or something like that) in CHINA then you're OK.

The issue is with the charger, not the phone.
