This topic never ceases to amaze me...
We are now on page 11... nearly page 12... (Edit: it was on 11 when i wrote it, on 12 after i finished!)
And there are still people waiting for OSPS to send a phone...
C'mon people, no business deserves your custom after making you wait this long, when various promises have stated you should have them sooner, but have not materialised...
A firm who cannot give coherent answers to questions posed will also prove problematical if anything does go wrong with your purchase... just imagine trying to return a faulty item... more falsehoods i presume
It is possible to get the P900 from other sources surely... i got mine from the high street just last weekend... maybe places who have them deserve your custom more than those who fob you off by saying you'll have it soon, but don't deliver?

I am in the unfortunate position of having returned a faulty p900 to them. I have no phone, no sim but do have a £45 line rental charge for an Orange account which I can't even use (for nearly 2 weeks now!). Suffice to say for firm that prides itself on its customer service I am extremely disappointed. For some other opinions look at

For all those waiting to get connected, do yourself a favour and cancel - don't leave it too late like I did.

I agree with all those who say quit the business with 1stopidiotShop..
I have waited over 3 weeks and eventually ordered it from mobileshop.com for £90 on Yp400.
well Check this deal with Orange...
P900 on orange on YP400 (£50/month) = £299
Less any old phone (£30) = £269
Less Introduction discount (get any orange usr to introduce you to Orange network to qualify) (£50) = £219
Then because there are NO clawbacks with Orange, change the next month to the lowest tariff..
simple.. ehhh

Yup, i quite agree, people would probably be better off going elsewhere and paying a little bit more for it. Since we are waiting on 3 of them and are saving about £300 over the cheapest of the other retailers through OSPS i'm kinda stuck with waiting for a while longer however, which is really starting to annoy me as they haven't even sent out an invoice for the cash they have charged so i have no way of claiming it back through expenses from my company and getting it back on my card before it starts amounting interest as yet.
Also getting distinctly annoying that my ever helpfull salesman at OSPS seems to have a bizarre email fault that allows him to read incoming but not reply.... Either that or he has never heard of read reciepts and doesnt realise i know fine well he has read them so thinks he can just avoid me.
Oh well, i live in hope that they will get them soon, otherwise its time to start giving other companies a hard time to get their business sales teams to match OSPS's deal.

Appears that OSPS may have started announcing failed credit checks by Orange as a delaying tactic.
The're not desperate .....

Forget osps and go somewhere else, but it seems people are not desperate to get the P900, if you really want it then go somewhere and get it, this is my second P900 and its worth the value.

I started filling in the form @ the link mentioned above - thought I would give a quick call to OSPS whilst doing so (to cancel), and before I could mention anything other than the word "P900", the sales person said, "Due in on Wednesday for definite - possibly even Tuesday". What can I do? Well, I'm going to wait until Wednesday and then cancel.

Unless the phone arrives!

I dont want to rain on anyones parade BUT what happens (GOD FORBID) if something goes wrong with the phone after you finally receive it
It dosent appear to me after reading all these pages that it will be a simple case of sending the phone back and getting a replacement a couple of days later
I know that quite a few of you are caught in a catch 22 position (should you wait or cancel and get it somewhere else) but in the end you have to think of the long term implications rather than the short term ones
Me personally i would try to get the phone from a more reputable company at the end of the day this is an expensive item and if anything does go wrong with it i want it sorted out today not in 1 months time which means being left with no phone and a monthly line rental which i can not use but have to pay for regardless
