Anyone knows if there is a Z1010 firmware upgrade available through the Update Service? And if so, what's the firmware version you get?
My Z1010 is on firmware upgrade at a service point right now.

@cakepanda
any path errors/issues related to java are normally going to be down to the java 'bin' directory (containing java.exe, javac.exe, etc) not being listed in the environment variables for your system. If it is there and is correct then i'm not sure what your problem is, but if it isn't then you can either add it manually or uninstall your current version of the java runtime environment (assuming an old version) and install the latest version. The reason for this is that older versions of java did not set this variable automatically, whereas the latest version does. Bear in mind i'm only guessing here - but its something to consider.
EDIT: only just saw your post further down, oops. I think kenski is right, seems like it might be the mobile phone monitor. mRouter rings a bell somewhere
@colmacg01
thanks for that link, its probably more friendly than the sun.com based link i gave earlier

So all I need is just install the P900 sync station driver and its ready to go?? Do I have to take out the sim card and turn the phone on while upgrade the firmware?? What happen if the phone rings during upgrade?

@caff
Yeah, just install the drivers and go to the update site. The instructions should take you from there. Taking out the SIM card is a good idea, too. If it doesn't work without it, put it back in. I think it works either way, but it's less risky with the SIM card removed.

hi. i do'nt know if i'm the first one but i'd like everyone to know that the online update servcie for the K700i messed up my phone. pls read on for the details on what happened to my phone after i using the online update service.
i've just upgraded my phone to R2L via the online update. my K700i originally has R2A with TAIWAN language pack. everything works fine except that i can no longer receive any file (jpg, 3gp, gif, etc.) via BT or IR because the phone says "memory full" but the thing is i have 42MB free memory! also if someone sends me a message with attachments (like pics, sounds, etc.) the phone won't let me save these attachments because the memory is full even if i still have 42MB free memory. i went through the update process once more but still i can't receive any incoming file either via bluetooth or infrared. i also did a master reset of the phone after the upgrade but it's still the same. anyone else experienced this? btw i also noticed before (when my phone was still R2A) that when i did a master reset the phone automatically loads the default theme (waip). but now after i upgraded to R2L via the online update service the default theme (waip) is not loaded automatically. what i got was a "blank" theme that is colored orange.
i have also read in one post that if your phone already has R2L and you tried the online update a warning message will say something like "the software in your phone is already the latest... continue: yes or no." anyway the message goes something like that. i think masseur encountered this message because he tried the online update but his phone is already R2L. i should've gotten a similar message when i went thru the whole process again but i didn't get any. the online update just continued on with the upgrade as if my phone was still R2A.
any suggestions on what i should do to correct these problems? should i bring it to a SE service center for reflashing? pls help. thanks.

j4sp33d,
You should bring your phone to service center.

actually i just came from the service center. they tried reflashing my phone with the R2L version they have (TAIWAN language pack) but the problem is still there. they told me to come back either this afternoon or tomorrow because they will try to download a new version of the R2L (if there is one). i've read in some posts that some R2L versions are incomplete. the service center is receiving quite a number of complaints regarding the missing frames issue when they upgraded their K700i's to R2L so they will check for the complete R2L with all the frames. they say that if there is this "complete" version of the R2L then this might fix my "memory full" problem. i really hope it does or else i'll have to wait for an R3 version or something. thanks for the reply.
