And the many women (and men) raped who contracted HIV?
Also do you believe that other animals apart from humans go to heaven?

God or no god. Religion or no religion... whatever it may be..But one thing is for sure : RETRIBUTION. and one bloody fine day it will be payback time for all us homosapiens irrespective of how innocent we claim ourselves to be.

It is perhaps interesting to note that in Taoism the Tao has no beginning, it also has no end. It is beyond explanation and quantification.

@joe: of course they do, Just like all carrots goto heaven when, after you finish eating them alive they finally find salvation in a great celery stick platter of the afterlife.
Small yapping dogs, and those lil rat dogs, however, they do not find heaven, oh no, for not even evil would put up with those things.
They get remade. Into pot noodle.
@Scots:
Taoism seems to make a great lot of sense about many things.

@Scotsboy. So the Tao simply is. Is Taoist belief from the far east? Does it try to explain our origins and foretell our demise?

@Gigs
It does to me anyway.
@goldenface
Taoism is neither concerned about a beginning or an end, it is more concerned with now. There is no apocalypse in Taoism, each person is responsible for their own actions.
Taoists would see death as being as natural as birth. We all must die at some point and to accept that fact is to be able to live one's life without fear of that death. One does not fear birth, why should one fear its conclusion?
This existence is but one manifestation of the Tao, the 'death' we speak of is it not death at all.

What i dont understand is that all this discussion on religion...on faith etc is it really going to help? I mean i may be a good christian, a good muslim, a good hindu etc etc but in spite of that i may go to my lab and design nuclear bombs. I may cut down trees, i may hunt tigers because i feel they look better on my drawing room wall than in the forest,i may create hell in the world. And yet i am saying my prayers . I am kneeling before the almighty....Guys be practical...Will religion save us ?

A very good point. His Holiness the Dalai Lama once said:
Quote:I have come to the conclusion that whether or not a person is a religious believer does not matter much. Far more important is that they be a good human being.

@m_r: while i agree with what scots said, i don't think you can "wreak hell in the world" and be a good anything.
