That trick is not working for me in both Phone & PC. I'm not even able to ping 202.56.250.5 and 202.56.250.6 using airtelfun.com.

Its not working on PC. Are you sure we have nothing more to do other than changing the dns. What is the correct DNS address i shud use :
203.145.131.150 or
202.56.250.5 & 202.56.250.6 or
202.56.240.5 & 202.56.230.5

it's working on phone, have not tried pc. you need to restart your phone and then try.

I have restarted my phone. But not working. Anyways, according to the theory, u should be able to ping 202.56.250.5 & 6 inorder to use it as DNS server. But I'm not able to do so.
Can u ping 202.56.250.5 & 6?
I think this trick might be SE specific.

Dude, This is what i think. Its not always necessary that we should be able to ping the dns servers. The Airtelfun.com apn blocks access to ping requests to those dns servers but allows access to the dns port which is probably 53 . And like you said this trick might be phone specific and depends on how d phone handles dns requests. But i think there should be some workaround to get this working on nokia phones also. By the way can someone try to find all d dns servers of Airtel network?

there's no option for dns on my 6020, so I guess it doesn't work on single channel phones.

Will try the dns thing. Hey guys did any1 observed that previously, be4 the change of ip, while using the trick we were unable to access Airtel live. As it said there is some error at the gateway.. But now after the ip has changed .. Airtel live can be accessed easily while using the trick..
