have you used the uiq3 browser? I find it slow and cumbersome. the scrolling around pages requires too much work.. i have used the p990i for a two months and found wifi browsing to be impossible! you have to go through so many menus to just switch on wlan as for my dad's e61, just open the web browser in it and it asks to search for wlan, once found, it connects so easily and we are good to go... the speed is also extremely fast and web pages load up very quickly..

anyway this is getting too off topic, i'm just saying that the new user interface of the p5 should have good web browsing capabilities. I haven't used the apple crap so i cannot comment on that.
But i do hope the new uiq4(?) browser is comparable to or even exceeds the s60v3's browser in terms of functionality and speed.

@Tigershark42:
Unlike you, I find the "c" (clear key) very useful and I'd be very displeased if SE removed it from its keypad layout.
I mean, I use it all the time for deleting stuff. And yes, that's its actual puprose - deletion!

nope that would be for the crappy s40 phones such as 6300.

the s60v3 has got inbuilt WEB application which is so extensive and powerful yet so easy to use. It is similar to browsing on a pc it has a mouse cursor that moves with the navi-keys and its very very fast.

@iqtidar

Some of the upcoming smartphones this year will have a TV-Out.
The new UIQ4-platform is capable to run even C++ coded applications.
Don't know if sis-file extensions will be supported.

the web browser on the iphone is astonishingly good and I'd be pleased if the P5i had a browser which was half as good as safari on the iphone

Mizzle, do you think P5i will be released at a good time so that it will include Opera Mobile 9 Web browser? The web browser has a few months of beta testing to go yet, but it would be great if this was the case.
