Probably not to India too. It can't be seen in the leaked roadmap from India.

Well, looking at the latest sony releases, one quote comes to my mind:
The company still makes a confusing catalog of gadgets that overlap or even cannibalize one another. It has also continued to let its product lines mushroom: 10 different consumer-level camcorders and almost 30 different TVs, for instance, crowd and confuse consumers.
“Sony makes too many models, and for none of them can they say, ‘This contains our best, most cutting-edge technology,’ ” Mr. Sakito said. “Apple, on the other hand, makes one amazing phone in just two colors and says, ‘This is the best.’ ”

^truer words were never said. sony does make too many models trying to cater to every different type of person who wants A, B, C but not D E F, and every variation inbetween.
They should just do low end, mid end, high end. DONE.

They set a pretty good precedent last year (single universal architecture with five core phones, two revisions, and three niche devices that were all derived from the core phones). It's kinda disappointing that within two months of the year's beginning they had already deviated by having S3-based phones as well as U8500-based phones.

The high-end Xperia acro S is
Sony's first Android 4.0 handset
to be announced for the global
market. This Ice Cream
Sandwich-flavored handset is
also dust- and water-resistant,
though it's not as tough as the
Xperia go.
The acro S sports a 4.3-inch
720p HD display, a 1.5GHz
dual-core processor and comes
with a whopping 12.1-megapixel
camera. Like the Xperia S, the
camera on the acro S is able to
take a photo in over a second
from sleep mode.
Availability: Q3 2012 (global)

Looks like Acro S will not be available on asian region as well, seems like only Xperia go will see the daylight, what's the point announcing the phone globally then?
