Sorry to hear about that. Though if it does have problems, shouldn't it be stuck in custom versus Fedex? Any chance that you may speak to a manager or just walk into their dispatch center to just pick it up?

Thank you! I went for white, but the box art shows black for some odd reason. Will get back to you on audio quality tomorrow. Currently still setting up the phone.

@dacha - come on man. you should know better than to post info from a no name cite reporting on nearly 3 month old information! you're misleading people here..
@monkeypantz - FCC did approve the Z1 way back in August. That article Dacha posted seems to be some dude who got really lucky and got a domain name like talksony.com (how does anyone do that these days!?). Proof that site is a noob is simply that it only has 2 pages of "articles" and if i felt like it, i could probably look on the wayback machine to see it's history (or lack thereof).
Anyway, Z1 was approved way back in august by the FCC since it was going to be announced on sept. 4, and released soon after. it HAS to be approved before it is released to the public, since the Z1 is a global phone and someone from another country who gets the Z1 before the US, can travel to the US with the Z1 and it's ok. FedEX totally screwed you.
Sounds like you have been totally screwed during this whole process of getting a Z1. Either you're just on here messing with us or you have the worst luck of anybody!! As you can see, there are a few other users in the US who got their Z1 with no problems from handtec or clove. I highly suggest you go to the FEDEX terminal where it is currently located and DISPUTE the matter vehemently.
@MNX - NICE PICS MAN! but i feel ya. I probably won't have many unboxing pics haha. I might do a quick unboxing video though. I will also check for Xperia Privilege content. I was trying to search google to see if anybody was getting the free movies and it looks like some people are! Not sure if the free movie and music unlimited trial is Z1 exclusive or what.. we'll see. If i figure out a way to get the content, i'll share.
@vikeviki - it seems pretty clear that there is no screen lottery (in the way that I'm pretty sure you mean it). everyone seems to be getting the same SHARP screen.

Thanks for the information Moogo, I had to fill in an FCC form with the FCC approval number and currently only the Z seems to be approved. I might just be to stupid to find the FCC number, anyway it is is annoying that handtec would not provide this information. No matter how this ends by the bare min. my shipment will be delayed a few days
