Guess who couldn't resist and got an Xperia Z... (hint: it's me).
Screen is rubbish compared to my old TX (which had the 'b' screen).
Xperia Z Screen is rubbish? Whoa. I saw one today and I thought that the screen was stunning.
I am pretty surprised by the differences between the 2 displays that Sony Have used.

SGS IV/Z GsmArena comparative shots show a great performance.
As well as HTC One versus Z video.
I think if you see Z as a crappy screen
than you think the same of HTC and Samsung as well.
What isn't true.
I think Tx and P just totally oversaturates colours, especially in UI.
Is there any SGS III/P comparison video?

After having the phone for a couple of days I can say:-
I like the design and screen.
Nice UI.
BUT:-
Very poor battery I lose over 30% in under 45 minutes and that's general browsing, Facebook and whatsapp.
Camera doesnt seem very good
Flash is very weak and poor.

@northmonkey
is that battery performance you quote with the use of 4g for internet? If so, that would explain that quick drain.

Was recording a video earlier and it came up with a message saying that the camera was temporarily unavailable due to the temperature of the phone?

I got my Xperia z today.....its definitely the best smartphone to date. The screen is extremely gorgeous. The black level at 100% brightness is very good.
I have to settle with white color since there is no black available and white is the last unit. The rest is purple. It seems Sony Malaysia underestimates the demand for Xperia z.
