Basically, if you update, you'll get them features, but you wont be able to play any homebrew stuff.

Any news on the 1.52 to 1.50 downgrader? 1.52 is like being stuck in limbo, no homebrew, and no browser. Doh!

All uk ones are released as 1.52. DO NOT insert the update disc if you wish to use homebrews, within the next few days a downgrader will be released. So if your actually going buy the games then update, if not then stay with 1.52 for the moment.

I'd reccomend just your upgrading to 2.00 because 1.52 will be able to be downgraded but the bad thing is that the software that does it will be verrry dodgy at first and could break your PSP.
Also, if you don't (didn't!) know what homebrew was then you won't need it. I had a Jap 1.5 psp and upgraded to 2.00 because homebrew simply wasn't worth it for me. A native browser, wallpaper support and being able to play the latest games was much more important for me.

firstly, the software wont be buggy because the creator made it about 4days to 1week ago, and he is now testing it for bugs and problems.
ok you get some better features, but if you have a 1gb duo like me and miss c, and know how to gt the games, you can run them off your duo.
but like chazz said, if your not really bothered or were always going to buy the games then upgrade.
do at your own choice.
thanks.
EDIT: with homebrew/ 1.50 you can also get the latest games.
