I flogged him my 2600 (not my OCed one but my backup as I have a Barton 2500 now) and he came to fit it in his MSI and it didnt work. Fans and GPU, HDD etc are all powering up, but the board does bugger all. He stuck his old 1700 in it after 20 mins with the CMOS battery out and still no joy. Think he might have frazzed it
Then later tried the 2600 in another board and it made l;oud explody noises. Gonna see if i can get a test rig (Elite mobo shite prolly) in college and test the 1700 on it, and hope that it works, and test the 2600 in my mates old Asus.
Mix: Not sorted yet then I'm guessing?
