I doubt it. I think whatever is in the whitepaper is it. I don't see where stereo speakers would fit.

Why stereo speakers anyway? Anything that small is going to sound like crap...that's physics.

For those who are wondering about X1's lack of accelerometer and compatibility with WM7, Read this. It explains that WM7 will most likely not utilize accelerometers or gyroscopes and instead use the built-in camera of WM devices to achieve the same motion controls. I don't know how this would impact battery life, but, it is interesting nevertheless.

From what I've heard is its a combination of both. Not just the accelerometer or the front camera. Another thought. WM6.1 seems to require more system RAM then WM6. I wonder ifthe current devices will have enough RAM and ROM to store WM7. As you know the iPhone OS is close to 700MB. If WM7 is similar I dont think it would work on these devices. Its all just speculation now. WE have to wait till the first device launches.

I wouldn't be too sure about stereo speakers but this guy says that there are in fact stereo speakers in the x1.

I wonder if the OS can run from the SDHC card? Or are the cards too slow?

It is possible to run an OS from the memory card, slower but possible. But highly unlikely it will be done for WM7 if the ROM is in sufficent. The memory mapping of the OS must be changed for which the OS has to be open source. Eg: Android. People are running Android from the mem card.

It would have to have some kind of provision inside the OS to do so.

I believe the WM mobiles N1 and N2 from Neonode at least boots the OS from an SD card. But I'm not sure if the execution after boot is performed in RAM or directly from the SD-card.

Does anyone know if the Windows Media Player Mobile installed in XPERIA has the feature of displaying visualizations much like the Media Player version in the PC?

The Windows Media Player that's packaged with Windows Mobile isn't great, to be honest - it does album art, but not visualisations, and more importantly the interface isn't very well designed and it's a bit of a PITA to use. Surprising really, I'm sure Microsoft could do better.

On HTC phones it's augmented by their "Audio Manager" software, which has a much more intuitive interface and is better integrated into the home screen etc. Hopefully SE will implement something similar. If not there are some good freeware players.
