I was given an X2 and it was slow and frustrating which resulted in me separating it from its qwerty. I have taken the X1 back out of the box, I'm doing the dual boot thing and putting Android on to see what its like.

Back on topic, I guess you guys are realising that the Android version isn't such a big deal. Its better to have it released sooner and then give it the update with multi touch or whatever. Has anyone had an in-depth look at the music player? Is it feature packed like a Walkman for example i.e equaliser, skins etc. Would people prefer the old style Walkman player? Its something I haven't seen in a while and I do miss it. There's something about opening the menu and seeing 'Walkman' or 'Cyber-Shot' like on the old feature phones, that is exciting and makes it feel high quality. Its branding that they should use, its not going to harm them to do so.

Thx..

Sorry if I'm repeating a previous question, but does anyone know what features the camera has?

I'm looking for all the features you see in the Cybershot phones (panorama, smile shutter, BestPic, Smart Contrast etc + Face Detection, White Balance and possibly even Iso settings)

I really miss those features on my Aino and I'm eyeing X10 as my upgrade in April.

No one knows. There isn't detailed preview on this part of X10, where you can read the menus. Or at least I haven't seen such.

No, but fortunately there is a white paper which lists some of the features (the list is most likely not 100% complete):

Up to 16x digital zoom
Auto focus
Face recognition
Geo tagging
Image and video stabilizer
Photo and video light
Send to web (photo and vide
upload)
Smile detection
Video recording
Scene detection
Recent shot tray

It's obviously not a camera centric device. Although, I'd miss some of the cam features of my C905.

I don't think you two have yet deserved the right to make fun of me.
At the moment you just show what ignorant idiots you are.

What's the matter Sakis? You got frustrated because poor X10 is overrun by so many devices before it even got out? You work for SE? Getting out of job? Feel sorry for you man.

The X10 is history man the supersonic specs are much better OLED display means better battery life and we all know android suffers from battery drain

It also means 16 million colours as opposed to X10's pathetic 65000. And it means multi-touch and all other benefits that Android 2.1 brings out of the box. The only thing where X10 is better is the camera but you are not buying this thing for camera anyway. If you want a good camera you get Satio or Vivaz.

there will always be another phone around the corner with better specs

Yeah but X10 is also around the corner. Long way.

Wow. This make things even more interesting. Let's see which among these Android phones will win the customers' hearts.

Great! More choice the better! Without custom layers on top then each Android phone is as good as the next. Timescape on the youtube vids does look amazing.

Last demo I saw it looked Fking slow not amazing to me.
Lets see it run with two or three hundred contacts before we get too carried away perhaps?

Hi all!
The specs say that it supports up to 16GB memcard but so says the specs for X1 and X2
but i have read about many people that are using 32GB, have anyone tried that on theire phone
and if so is it much more laggy then? I guess you can use 32GB on the X10 but it might get a bit slow
and therefor SE says that it supports up to 16GB...

I am really looking forward to the release of X10 and i'm almost positive that i'm going to buy it, it's just
a real pain in the *** that appstore is so much larger and have nicer apps than android market.
But i don't want an Iphone and become a slave under the apple, can't someone just make a nice emulator for iPhone apps

if you want iphone app's, buy an iphone. that is really the only reason to own the current iphone(s)..otherwise, i'm sure android will build a nice app stord at some point.

@Salveta: Companies state a handset can support memory cards up to the biggest available in the market, in X10 case it's 16Gb MicroSD, but I'm sure it can handle 32Gb just as fine when they'll be available
