I still don't get it. What does 'EV bracketing assistant' means and how can i use it?
What's the position for EV bracketing?
Thx guys i'm not a noob in this area but i don't get it sorry:-P

- EV bracketing : same picture with different EV's ; those pict have to be combine in ONE picture (with Photoshop CS3 or Photomatix or...) to have details in low and high light (ie : http://www.chromemusic.de/ent[....]rt/34-fantastic-hdr-pictures/)
- EV bracketing assistant : helps to take these shots (no need to change EV manualy)
- you can use it in modifying camdriver options at the beginning of the code (function ID is 1a, set it at EV position you want)
- to use it, read the readme.txt ; Raider makes efforts to write and makes things easy to use, you can do an effort to read it)
- and.... ENJOY !

Thank you nerve, i managed to understand it in the end:P.
It's a cool feature but not so practical i can say, for example you can edit one picture in CS3 and then combine them in the"ONE' picture you said.
thx for replying, cheers

- With some cameras, you can take only one picture (not many, just one) but this one is in a paticular format (RAW) that contains (for here) many EV position. This CANT be done with SE phones.
- Other cameras have paticular position : you hold it (the camera) pushdown the button, and it takes many times the same picture but in different EV (ie : on pict EV-2, next EV0, last pict EV+2). This CANT be done with SE phones.
- So, Raider simplified thing : with his EV bracketing, yout phone will take many picture (you still have to push down the button to take the shots), BUT :
-- no need to change EV
-- focus is set at the first picture and don't change (take shots quicklier)

At the end, you'v got all these picts. This is the time to put them together (remember, you'v shot the SAME thing, just EV has changed) ; and you'v got the result.

But our phone are cameraphone... It's just for fun !

yes, i'm get what the meaning of EV bracketing assistant after tried to take some picture

it's mean when you're select EV value from EV function at 0.3, then you chose -2.0 for EV value, and started EV bracketing assistant, it will take 13 picture with same pictures focus but with different EV, which every picture have EV value from -2.0 until +2,0.

and when you choose -1,0 EV value from EV function at 0.3, you will get 10 pictures, with same pictures focus but with different EV, started EV Value from -1.0 until +2,0.

- Set EV position to tel your phone the EV position it will begin
- Set EV bracketing to tel him the step between each EV
- your phone will go on take shot with EV bracketing until it reachs EV postion +2
- then, it goes back to normal mode

yep, exactly and for newbies who want to try:

- step 0.3EV is almost useless in HDR
- initial EV and step size always depend on scenery but...
- mostly used combination for HDR is 3 shots (-2.0, 0.0, +2.0)
5 shots (-2.0, -1.0, 0.0, +1.0, +2.0) are used in tricky scenery (for example to save the shadows)
- HDR from phone is crazy thing but who said that we are normal people?
- you can stop whole process at any time, after any shot
reached +2.0EV will stop it automatically
- ultra stable support (tripod, the wall, etc.) for the camera is mandatory!
this is primary condition for HDR shots

BTW. small tip for tricky winter scenery. if your snow is blue you can try Custom WB, it can help

im really sorry but im having trouble understanding how to enable the assistant.

"it's mean when you're select EV value from EV function at 0.3, then you chose -2.0 for EV value, and started EV bracketing assistant, it will take 13 picture with same pictures focus but with different EV, which every picture have EV value from -2.0 until +2,0. "

how do I select the ev, should I just set my phone to 0.3?then after that i just select the -2.0 will the EV braketing enable automatically? because when i try to take picture i only got 1 picture save.

im really sorry i did not understand well.

Hmmm ... EV bracketing ... sounds interesting! Will try it sometime tomorrow

Btw, Raider, will CWB work with digital zoom or will it just balance what is seen without the zoom. I'm asking because it is sometimes hard to use CWB because of my shadow...

Thanks!

First at all thanks for the new driver, Raiderski! Great work!
But I´ve got a litle question...I understand how set EV for bracketing...but where can I find these assistant in menu??

I cant find it^^

"
to enable assistant, follow the steps below. the order isn't important:

1. set initial EV value in EV function
2. set EV step in function of EV bracketing assistant
"

In function of EV bracketing assistant? But where is it?

-2.0 | balance cyan - red
-1.7 | balance yellow - blue
-1.3 | balance orange - light blue
-1.0 | Custom White Balance
-0.7 | contrast
-0.3 | colors saturation
0.0 | focus
+0.3 | EV compensation
+0.7 | shutter speed fast
+1.0 | shutter speed slow
+1.3 | ISO
+1.7 | zoom
+2.0 | AE lock

Where to set the steps??
Could someone pls tell me? Thanks for your help

to enable EV bracketing assistant just using this code "$s0 1a"
replace the code in camdriver0.dat (open it with notepad)
find this

FUNC_ID=
$p0 00 // function ID EV position
$c0 03 $s0 14 // -2.0
$cl $c0 04 $s0 15 // -1.7
$cl $c0 05 $s0 17 // -1.3
$cl $c0 06 $s0 18 // -1.0
$cl $c0 07 $s0 07 // -0.7
$cl $c0 08 $s0 08 // -0.3
$cl $c0 09 $s0 01 // 0.0
$cl $c0 0a $s0 09 // +0.3
$cl $c0 0b $s0 03 // +0.7
$cl $c0 0c $s0 02 // +1.0
$cl $c0 0d $s0 19 // +1.3
$cl $c0 0e #ZM_TYPE // +1.7
$cl $c0 0f $s0 0a // +2.0
$cx $cx $cx
$cx $cx $cx
$cx $cx $cx
$cx $cx $cx
$cx;

for example i set EV bracketing assistant at EV function -2.0
so it must like this (just replace "$s0 14" with "$s0 1a")

FUNC_ID=
$p0 00 // function ID EV position
$c0 03 $s0 1a // -2.0
