Could you explain this better please? I have a branded VFUK, never unbranded, updated to R1ED via SEUS and don't have what you're describing. What's the "Ticker"?
Sure: When i updated to R1ED the top left button changed from the "Calls" function to "Ticker" and the top right button no longer performed any function whereas it formally functioned as a "Menu" button.
The Ticker option seems to be some form of internet news ticker. It can be activated / deactivated in the Settings > General > Ticker section. If you like i can take a photo with my GF's Samsung E720 and upload it although the quality wont be the best.

I dont know if this is indeed a firmware issue but i didnt think it was worth starting a new thread about it.
I got sent multimedia message yesterday, the sender sent the mms to multiple people at the same time however when i attempt to download the message it connects to the server and downloads the message but then it does not seem to disconnect the server and after 40seconds or so the phone crashes with the wsod and then comes back to the standby screen after a bit.
Im currently on O2UK with a wotan debranded k800i running firmware R1CB001 EU2 Generic.
All other mms messages work fine (sending and recieving) appart from this one, the same message was sent to me again with just me as the recipient and i recieved that one fine.
Has anyone else come across this problem/issue? Could it just be the fact it was sent to multiple recipients? Anyone got any ideas what so ever?
Below is a video of what i am describing, the icon in the message list is a greyed out mms icon (the envelope with the arrow) appologies for the breaks in the video, my digi camera only allows 15seconds of recording so i had to join them together, also the time for downloading is much longer than you see here.

i would if it was released on seus for the uk generic, but since im a tight pocketed student i need to spend my change on alcohol rather than wotan again.
when it does become available if i remember rightly all messages etc stay on the phone and dont get wiped with seus and i'll check the message again.

It's been a month since R1ED001 was released on SEUS. It's really a great work by SE engineers. No crashes--no major flaws. I enjoy using my phone. Hope that it'll be as good as it is now for the upcoming updates. Not like K750 recent update that is considered 'big mistake' in terms of mp3 quality.

Hope they'll release it soon, I want some new functions.
R1ED001 is so nice, no crashes. Hope SE won't screw up the mediaplayer.

Sorry to say but this isn't like the psp were you get new functions every update. The updates are just for correcting bugs.

There has been many cases where upgraded firmware has ushered in new features/functions. Of course its not going to be huge, but there is a chance of a few new ones.
