I can safely say that incoherence is your problem

Indeed, the fruit tinted glasses are on. For all of those phones do MORE. No point in trying to break it through your thick wall of denial, so I won't bother.

If doing MORE is all that matters then my HTC Tytn II from three years ago beats the X10 and every other Android phone to be released this year. Of course it's 2010 and just doing MORE doesn't cut it anymore - you have to actually do things well. With the Appstore behind it, even my lowly iPhone 3G does a lot of things very well indeed.

What do I think about the next iPhone?

Well, considering that they spent close to a decade finely honing the maxiPad and how it turned out to be a damp squib, the worst disappointment since Segway and the butt of jokes till kingdom come...

...not much.

I'm so glad you feel that way about the iPad. I'm going to enjoy that

If doing things WELL matters, then your iThingy can't even DO a lot of things its competitors do WELL.

But yeah, I'll give ya something: With the appstore behind it, it sure can fart better than most. Pun unintended, of course.

Gee, I hope it doesn't bring upon you enjoyment the way apple TV did to a lot of appletons. We don't wanna risk a cardiac arrest or anything, ya know...

Can your SE do everything my current phone does, at least as well as my current phone does it? Let me save you some time - no, it can't.

It can + much more.

Yeah, it can. Let's not get carried away.

Oh no you didn't!? You made an ifart joke! That's completely destroyed my argument, the satisfaction of millions of iPhone users, the utterly genre-defining impact of the iPhone itself, and the billions the iPhone and the appstore have made for both developers and Apple.

Fart! Ha ha!

Ask the fruitman to keep his fruit talk in the fruit forums. No one here's interested to hear how OMGWTFBBQLOLAWESOME his "Appstore" is and I'm just delivering the message.

Well I thought that I was going to save you some time there, but apparently it turns out that your SE phone does have push notifications. And itunes built in. It must also have multitouch with pinch and zoom in the browser, photo album, and dozens of other third party apps. That'll be the SE phone with visual voicemail too, and spotlight search across the whole phone. Of course it goes without saying that your SE phone is every bit as quick as the iPhone to open and close intensive apps, and it has the best web browsing experience available in a handheld device, and access to over 100,000 apps from a single, easy to use catalogue. Right?

I mean, you wouldn't be wasting all our time, right?

Denial. It's not a river in Egypt.
Say, how's the file download scene from mobile Safari going on? Free turn-by-turn? Reading an e-book and listening to Pandora? Using the stocks app and the effin' calculator?

It did all that and probably stole your lunch money too. Better check your pockets.

Why wait? You can start off right now:

SE phone does have push notifications.

No, we have push email and proper multitasking for other things that need real time updates. It's a wonderful concept.

And itunes built in.

No we buy our music cheaper from Amazon.

It must also have multitouch with pinch and zoom in the browser, photo album, and dozens of other third party apps.

Not a day goes by when I don't miss multitouch. I mean, what use is proper bluetooth profiles, a file manager and a fully functional browser if you cant claw the screen with two fingers, right?

Of course it goes without saying that your SE phone is every bit as quick as the iPhone to open and close intensive apps

When you do one thing at a time, it's not that hard to be fast. Also, INTENSIVE apps lol.

the best web browsing experience available in a handheld device

Except for Flash, java, local file download... etc. etc. Nope, we're totally screwed there.

and access to over 100,000 apps from a single, easy to use catalogue.

OMG GUYS, JUPITER IS THE BEST PLANET IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM COZ IT'S THE BIGGEST AMIRITE???

Last demo I saw it looked Fking slow not amazing to me.
Lets see it run with two or three hundred contacts before we get too carried away perhaps?

I guess if you can't give us the link to this recent demo, showing it working slow we'll just have to take your sacred word for it?

There are plenty of demos around showing it working lightning fast, but I guess if all you're intent on doing is being miserable and moaning like a bitch about things then your not going to notice them, right?

Sacred, Bitch, debate not insults please, we are supposed to be adults here are we not

I can only say what I have seen, and in all the demo's I have seen (And whilst we are at it, I made no reference too any recent demo goldenface,YOU DID! Do try to be accurate when insulting me please ) Timescape takes at least three seconds to load and in one demo 5 seconds with what appear to be a few contacts if that's acceptable to you fine, but it is far from acceptable to me.

BTW do try to remember this is a phone we are discussing, A phone that at present is STILL unavailable!

I am not smacking anyone's child here, I am just expressing an opinion on a mobile telephone! based upon my own observations, is that OK or is this supposed to be a place where are failings are simply glossed over?

I would be happy to see a demo where Timescape runs fast with lots of contacts, show me one please that is all I am asking to do, Just show us it working as it should, and providing the price is right I will be in the queue to buy it but I will never applaud just for saying it will produce something I have been burned by them in the past!
