According to this article, LTPS>IGZO, but... "While LTPS is better than IGZO, IGZO is expected to win out because it’s easier and cheaper to manufacture. LTPS will probably stick around in smaller, flagship smartphones and tablets, while IGZO eventually takes the rest of the smartphone/tablet/laptop/desktop/TV market.": http://mobile.extremetech.com[....]-high-res-desktop-display-soon
anyway, LTPS is better = saves more battery.
question is, does any sony product has LTPS panel and if so then why they don't advertise it?

I do have to wonder if this new Z2 tablet will use the same front facing stereo speakers that Sirius uses, or maybe even a better variant of it. All Xperia tablets until now have been pretty lackluster in the external speaker department, and I'm hoping that finally changes with this one.

I can recreate that lol. It looks almost exactly like a Tablet Z. About screen, I don't think it NEEDS a higher resolution. The actual model has an awesome screen. Like I've said a lot of times, almost 180 degrees and not even a single color difference. Throw a Triuliminos into that, X Reality, and it's good already (IMO).

About battery, again, same argument I've used over and over. Battery is going to be awesome into that. Same resolution, same screen size, same battery size, but with a much more power efficient processor, it will last for a good while.

I've managed 1d16h of time on. Around 1\\3 or 1/4 of that time, WiFi was on, and 8h of screen time (brightness st minimum, enough to read even in indirect sunlight.

i m writing from a Tablet Z and man it's Great.!!!! They improve its flaws and we cry for an absurd resolution. This screen is very good!!!! But I agree better sound and autonomy are Needed!!!

Let's hope for a speedy release. Less than a month from announcement is fine by me. My current Tab Z will become a donation to my father so he can watch Antiques Roadshow in bed without straining his eyes.

So WQXGA is an absurd resolution for a 10" display you hold not too far away? You say they improve the flaws - what flaws have been improved you have evidence for?

Tablet z user here, what they need improve is sound, touchscreen sensitivity, camera and battery life...I don't expect battery life will improve in skyrocket way...just a little I think. What I like is it's thickness and weight, which give me very comfortable.

Other Tablet Z owners, may I know what you consider a not so good battery life (that you appear to have, since everyone is complaining), and what you consider a better battery life (that would make Tablet Z2 better)?
