pmpl @ sauge!!! Last time i heard that word it was part of a proposition by a very inebriated German tourist to a very amused barlady at the German Club here in P.E. Visited some cellular shops 2day, discovered that most salespeople are beyond clueless when it comes to questions about wap, etc wrt their stock-in-trade.

@ sIssIs,
If anything, I initiated a little Xhosa dialogue; not Brix's fault as such. It was great to chat in isiXhosa after such a long time, just as it must be great for you to communicate in German etc.
I have not done this more than a few times, because although it was the odd sentence or two, I deemed it a bit rude of me to do so, when not everyone understood. Not fair to ostracise anyone with language barriers on such a SA community-orientated forum.
I have thus refrained from doing so again.
Perhaps the fact that your one entire post was in German was a bit over-the-top/too much.
Take this as constructive criticsm, in the best interests of all who share and post on this forum.

Hear hear, amawanqa! I was dying to try out my rudimentary Greek hehehehehe. All packed up for your visit yet, boet? I've been spending much time reading other threads, noticed that our English brethren really have an astounding variety of mobiles to choose from! If wishes were horses...

I'm not mad. never. and I didn't mind when you were talking isiXhosa. Oh just for the records... I'm not german(maybe from generations back) and it's not actually one of my languages. I can only speak it partially. So sorry. Again just btw... the people in here that can understand afrikaans, can understand german a little.
I did reply only in german, but that was because Kryptik asked me stuff in german... so... I was a "good" person in answering him back in deutsch. Don't worrrrrry.....
If MTN 3G is that good... why doesn't it even has coverage in Stellenbosch and Somerset-West. [Don't mind about this, I just didn't know what to reply]

No coverage in Somerset-West? That explains why a friend of mine recently could get no joy using that link which i forwarded to him whilst he was holidaying there... I thought maybe it was because he's a bit technologically-disadvantaged... ;o)

@ Kryptik,
I haven't even started packing yet...work has been quite chaotic;lots of loose ends to tie up before I fly on Sunday! At least the usual obligatory souvenirs have been purchased.
The w800i is expected to hit the shelves here in less than 2 weeks. Hopefully the Wireless Monkey will provide us with an indepth review of the 'walkman-mobile' in the very near future...

My wife's colleague recently returned from quite an extended London sojourn... She was flabbergasted to discover the Dark Continent had wap-enabled mobiles... Whilst comparing her Samsung E600 to Zan's E300 she was most suprised to discover that Zan had email, Google, etc on hers as well... Duhhh ;o) :o)
