2k is excusable in phones, actually, in this point in time, 1080p is probably better for phones. But for tablets, what's the excuse there? And the delay after announcement can be to do with a supply chain, but that's hardly unpredictable, unless a natural disaster occurs. Otherwise, Sony can, you know, just announce their products later, like, you know, they are doing right now. If this was 2013 or 2012, the Z2 would have made an appearance at CES.

I feel that Sony delayed the idea of 2K/4K tablet because of SoC, there's no new one ready for 1H... while they can do it with 800 they didn't thought of it in this way, they thought there's no new CPU, so thought why going for high-end while the SoC will be just a slight upgrade...

I think that Z2 for both phone and Tablet is just small upgrade... the real deal will be in Z3 for both of them... but I doubt Sony will have Z3 tablet... I feel Tablet is a 1 year product...

I guess this is why Sony is not giving that much attention to their press conference in MWC. If everything we know is true, then both the Z2 and the Tablet Z2 are but refreshed devices. Though I can let the Z2 pass, the leaked specs for the Tablet Z2 are lame. It's been a year so everyone is expecting for a major upgrade for the next flagship tablet. New SoC, additional 1 GB RAM, and a thinner and lighter body do not justify the same frame, screen resolution (although expect screen quality to be better than the Tablet Z), same camera and still without flash, same battery capacity. Not to mention almost the same design. And although the bezels do serve a purpose, can't they at least shrink it down a bit? I'm pretty sure not everyone has a 2-inch thumb.

DooMLoRD (dat use of the shift key) said there'd be about 5 devices with the same board, right?

I think there will be a smaller tablet too. The stylus input solution with Nvidia used would be nice. At least do what the Z Ultra did but with better software for it.

With renewed focus on mobile devices, maybe tablets and all Z series products are 6 month refreshes?

This is what you get when you rely on a single chip company.

I'll be shocked if Sony shows more than just the Z2, Z2 tablet and any low end devices.

If sony introduces a 8 inch tab, I will sell my beloved tab 7.7 and get this sony.

I think S800 can only handle 4k @ 30hz at most, it probably get hot and starts down clocking and everything will get super laggy. Smooth 4K@60Hz still too far ahead of current SoC. Best for every company to wait 2 years to deliver a smooth experience.

According to leaks we improve sound. We improve Cpu,ram,in General raw power.Battery life is gonna be better due to soc optimization(my Tablet Z lasts for 2-3 days surfing, watching films, playing some games 2-3 hours per DAY)Finally the screen will be better.I had a s tablet and man,the change is brutal from that oldie to our actual Z.But still i dont get the need FOR 2K... w

I think if the bezel was reduced the tablet wouldn't be so thin. At 6.4mm and what undoubtedly is a decent sized battery it's already a miracle how they have been able to reduce the size of the tablet.

I wouldn't want much of a smaller bezel on a new tablet (coming form a Z tablet user). Maybe on the sides, but certainly not the top and bottom (when held horizontally). I already accidentally tap the screen with my thumbs when holding it, and I don't have big thumbs.

This can be painful when you use an app that takes minutes to load up properly every time, and those damn action buttons are at the bottom. The amount of times I have accidentally Google Nowed!
