I just got this phone and I have a little problem. I added a picture to one of the contacts. Then I tried calling my phone from that number, but the picture wouldn't show. I then played around with the phone and deleted this contact from the sim (so this contact is no longer stored on a sim card but still stored on the phone). The number is no longer recognised as a contact from my address book. This number is saved in the phone address book and "default contacts" is set to "phone contacts". So what happens is that when I access the phone book it reads numbers stored on the phone, but when someone is calling me it reads the names/numbers of the sim.
One more thing: if I call a number from my address book and then go to call history it will not show the name of the contact.

this is funny. normally, when i make a longer call or browse long, 1 bar disappers from the batt indicator, thats normal, but after several mins it pop up again ( noticed it in many se models ). thats fine. in k610 its the opposite. so if the indicator shows lets say 4 bars, at longer call shows 5 after ending it...

Hi!
I am trying to use Sony Ericsson's upgrade feature to upgrade K610i which I bought in H.K. for my wife day before yesterday. It has English and traditional Chinese system installed. Actually, I want to add simplified Chinese or convert traditional Chinese to simplified Chinese using the upgrade service. But the upgrade service has no option for such change or upgrade. Could anybody help me? Thanks in advance.

With my k610i, i turn both USIM protection and phone protection on but all they do is prompt me to enter my pin in twice, when i turn my phone on. Is this normal? Also is there any way to set the phone so that the pin must be entered to either unlock the keypad or so that you have to enter pin to use phone / view messages, make calls etc? If theres no standard way of doing it, is there a firmware upgrade / custom firmware that will enable me to do this? Thanks

reading the manual, the pin and phone protection is only for when phone is turned on. Is there a firmware available either by SE or someone else that has this feature? it may not need be the SIM PIN but any form of pin so that if phone is stolen, they dont call premium numbers etc

afaik no, there isnt. the only codes are the pin and the fone code. but if its get stolen, the thiefs will probably flash it, so all your datas will gone.
