I got my phone back from service and imagine what they told - I have bought a PROTOTYPE, and they can't change it's software... Hard to believe. Anybody knows sth about prototypes ?
On the sticker behind the phone there is:

coo! i got the same one as u... made 00W43...
copper then i'm guessing? i think my firmware was updated... it's R2K... the guy i bought it off of said the firmware was updated... what's ur firmware?

the prototype phones doesn't have any normal warranty... these are for evulation purpose only, so both software and hardware can be slightly different from the real finished product... these phones shouldn't be out on the market at all....

yes... it might happen... use it while it works... when it don't work anymore... then throw it away (or frame it and put it up on the wall
)... there aren't many evaluation phones out... I have only seen one.... so they are quite unique
