Okay, what I found was that the files that should initiate the change MUST be OLDER then the ones installed.
This is valid for the P990 and P1 so far. I have problems and then I found out that only if the files are from an older firmware then the one installed, this change will occur.

So did you use this method on a P1 successfully? Which files did you use? Can you provide a P1i step by step guide?

Hi everybody!

Perhaps I'm off topic, sorry if it is... (and also my poor english!)

I've seen it's possible unbrand a p990 using seus by changing some files in the blob_fs directory.

I've a p910i (Vodafone). Can I unbrand my p910i with seus?

If yes, somebody can post the files necessary to do it?

Thanks a lot!

It looks like it is quite difficult if not impossible:

Okay, here is a link to instructions and download of OLDER files of the world1 firmware. These OLDER files are needed to make the real and final switch to World1.

You will have to do it twice, the first time it will update what you have BUT since you have the altered files in there, they will get into the phone and then the second time it will update to World1. If not, then something is done wrong and you have to go it again from scratch!

When I did it the first time to netherland from world1 it worked like a charm. BUT then back from netherland to world1 was a pain and I found that one needs ALL CLEAN FOLDER and then OLDER files from the desired firmware.

Regards

Hi, thanks for the link. But as far as I can see it describes only the P990i (which is quite an easy one compared to the P1). I cannot find any references to the P1 or to the P1 files. So did you do the trick with a P1 or with a P990?

I've already tried that method, but the new version of seus don't allow it. Perhaps it could be tried this:
1-start seus and force update of a p910i (unbranded)
2-enter in blob_fs directory and save all files, then erase them
3-start seus and update the p910i (branded)
4-while files are downloading remove p910i from dss sync
5-when seus has finished to download files, close it
6-enter in blob_fs directory and overwrite files with the old files saved before (and maybe rename them?)
7-restart update of the p910i (branded)
8-is phone unbranded?

is it possible do it?

Maybe i've written a lot of stupid things....
