With the Jan.2 update, SE implemented a new restriction, auto start programs have to be Symbian signed. That is why SMP does not start automatically after the fw update. The same is true for Bootmanager. As I understand, it's not only a cost issue that the programmers have to pay, but the process is very tedious and time consuming, that is why we don't see a lot of Symbian signed applications.

Maybe this is foolish but.. I am wondering why a game would run flawlessly on M600 and wouldn`t on P990? I am talking about chess professional (Zing Magic). On P990 after (lets say) 5 moves it starts to run real slow. On opening moves you can move pieces real nice. Then they can hardly be selected and moved. So my question is what does M600 have that P990 doesnt?
Also volume increase on playing video fullscreen bug is still there. Sometimes you can adjust it for 1 bar +/-, but sometimes even that is too much..
Havent tried wifi and if themes work faster. Anyone noticed any differences using "non SE original / UIQ" themes ?

firstly i apologize if this post is in the wrong thread. i'm new to this forum thing. this is only my second post here. my first post was asking you guys if it was possible to change my cda to a world generic one using the kulankendi server/client. so i took the liberty and ask mr. kulankendi himself if it was possible or not.
i just want to share the good news with you guys in this forum because i think that this forum is really great. it is now possible to change cda for p990 using kulankendi client. i used to have a cda/5 but now i'm able to update my firmware to the latest organizer version (R4B03) as i'm using a cda/1 now. but strangely enough, my phone version remains at R7A001.

After updating my phone earlier this week m-router no longer works
Advanced setting tab reads:
(Additional COM ports errors)
COM 6 (Stopped : the system cannot find the file specified - error 0x80070002)
In addition the pc suite no longer recognizes my phone either. I backed up my contacts and HAVE to get them back on my phone as I did not write them down (Dumb move i know)
I updated the pc suite to the newest version and my back up is still within the suite but it shows as my phone not connected. I re-installed the suite and towards the end of the install a microsoft box pops up and reads "Pre-install USB drivers has encountered a problem and needs to close" Any help would be appreciated as i really need those phone numbers even if there is a way to read them off the computer within the suite. Thanks
