@CyberRay, bat naman? I dont think they are fake. Even if you get a unit that is sub-standard (T610 w/ hissing), SE will still fix it (with cost of labor of course). The only thing you pay for with Semicon and similar resellers is the 1 year warranty. For people like myself, spending several thousand pesos for warranty is a lot.

A word of caution of course is check the unit thouroughly. Although if I did get my phone from authorized dealers I'd do the same since it costs so damn much. Here is an example, GH P800 = P32K, Semicon P800 = 39.5K.

@Hzana: Yeah I've noticed the price difference too buddy. but i just wanna be sure, i only purchase my mobile phones from Nokia 3650 to 9210i from Sony Ericsson T68i to my P800 only at authorized and trusted distributors like semicon. tho the price is sumwhat a 'big' difference from those @ GH. But i am much more confident and has a feeling of being secured that my phone and all of its accesorries are all original! and of course the warranty too! So...No matter what happens, I'll never ever buy phones at greenhills! I've learned my lesson already... =) This message was posted from a P800

ay oo kapitan... past experiences taught me so much. tsaka second hand buying is never advisable. i did buy (second hand) once, it was Ericsson T28 way back then, and it was a total piece of crap. i brought it to semicon para ipagawa, i spent more than 5t for the repair.

tsaka yung friend ng classmate ko nabugbog sa GH dahil nag complain yung buyer about sa nabili, eh kuyog pala tong mga GH vendors. so be very careful...

For those people who keep insisting that GH is an ok place to buy SE phones and accessories... by all means.. go ahead and buy from there. It's a free country... just don't say we didn't warn you guys.

Yes, the T610 is cheaper in GH... but if your unit dies 3 days from when you bought it... and the store you bought it from can only replacee it "when their new stocks arrive" (since they're not an authorized dealer, it could be months from when you bought it) ... then go ahead.

If you discover that your unit is from HK and a Chinese version which has no SW support here... don't complain that "Semicon won't upgrade my phone!"

If you find out that Semicon is actually cheaper than the phone you bought in GH... well... tough luck.

You've all been warned... and since you're buying a new SE model in GH, I'm assuming you have the cash to burn and have a spare phone should your GH phone turn out to be a dud.

Yes, Semicon service for phones is slow as well.... BUT the 1st 7 days is instant replacement... and they usually have a regular flow on the new units, so the most you'll have to wait is a week for a replacement. Spare parts is another story...so don't smash your phone if it's a relatively new model... you'll wait ages for the part to be ordered. Replacement units arrive faster than spare parts. And Semicon doesn't 'vanish' into thin air like a lot of GH stores... notice their receipts sometimes don't even have their name... it's usually just a "_________ Merchandising" or even just a non-official receipt.

If you still wanna buy from Greenhills... go ahead... don't try to convince the rest of us that it's safe there... and we won't try to convince you that it's not safe. All experiences have been listed in this thread... I think we're all smart enough to make our own decisions.

Good Luck to you all you shoppers.
