Just updated again. The demo video problem sound is still there, after you pause the video the sound stops 2 secs later.Opening some email i get busy flashing on the screen. Then it stops flashing without showing me what's in the email. And when i go on some chat sites,it wont let me go on some forums.I've got to to click on the two green arrows to view them.

Kindly if some one can tell me abt SMP problems if somebody has.
my SMP doesn't work properly, taping on icon doesn't work anymore. at times the icon totally freezes for now reasons. you tap...u band your head on it it doesn't react. some how i think i don't need this any more with new FW. but offcourse it wud be a grate app to be in backup if the problem arises. i have 1.45 one with me. does any other version works?

...do you think i should update or wait?i'm afraid some major apps do'nt work as i do't want to wait until their companies make new update and what is the problem with fm radio?actually i just want to restore my contacts if i want to update!
You should do the update. So far I haven't found any application that doesn't work (except the obvious SMP icon problem). FM radio problem was related to a bad settings restore, it fixed itself after a master reset and I could restore my backup. The presets came back except for #1, which showed the right name but had the wrong frequency.
If you are only concerned with your contacts, just make a backup on memory stick and restore from there after the fw update.

All I can say is, THIS is how the P990i should be realest at the first time. Its just like a new phone now, cant belive im holding the same phone in my hands.... I did not do an restore, did it all from the scratch again, and im glad I did. For the SMP I did not install it right now, I will wait for a new release. But apps, menu and scrolling in contacts and music is so SUPER fast now. Me VERY pleased
Agree 100%. I have, however, installed SMP after 1 day without it. The reason being memory management is not really to my liking and there is still memory leak, applications don't really close etc.
Another difference is that I did restore all my settings, unified inbox, even 3rd party applications (if you can really call it restoring). This may be a good thing as we can compare our phones to see if what I did causes any extra problems for me

I updated last night.......some nice new features added, but I would not say the opening up applications is super fast. It still shows "busy" and takes a sec or two to open things up. Yes it is faster, but I guess you can only do so much with this processor. Just got an N95 and comparing these two the N95 opens up menus instantaneously, but that's not to say that the N95 is better or has no bugs, but just an observation.
