we need more improvements.
Like the sound, when turned at full volume, the sound is not cear, & hissing always evident in all songs played on M600i

plus the fact that we should at least receive the courtesy of having the alarm work correctly, right?

I haven't tried updating since the last R6A16 mainly due to lack of bandwidth. I'd have tried already if i had a fast connection. Now all i can do is closely watch this forum (where else could i get this info? SE keeps this kind of info for themselves) for any firmware update and then update my phone

SonyEricsson have announced that there will be no more firmware-updates for M600, P990 and W950.
Users are furious!

Some users are furious... mostly users of the P990 which have been left with entirely new bugs in the latest release.
In all honesty, I don't think the M600i is in the same boat. It has minor bugs that are completely circumventable, same as virtually any other phone that you can name, but no dealbreakers. Even the infamous "alarm bug" isn't a factor if you stick to the default beeps rather than tones (I have heard it can be cured entirely by a full reset, though I've not tried that).
Personally, I've no problem with them considering R6A16 complete. But, I'd be in a different mood if I owned a P990, which still has significant issues (some of them brand new with the latest, "final" version).

I agree. I've only done the last couple of updates because they were there, not because there was something I needed to be fixed.
M600 is now probably the phone I have used as my primary phone longer than any other and it will only be dropped when I get my hands on the P1 which should pretty much start off where the M600 finishes

Yeah, I'm also considering to buy one of those babies

P1 looks great and have some nice features that m600 doesnt have : 3.2 mpix cam, active stand-by with 15 icons, wi-fi, card scanner, more RAM

:) 128 Mb, better screen visibility on direct sunlight, cooler look, extended support (i hope so

), video support ofcourse and a few other things. Only price is toooo high!
Cheers
