@ Glynton

Just tried it mate, yes you can copy from the PS3 to the phone, just make sure you have it in mass storage mode before the PS3 disconnects it as an unkown device. ID3 tags are preserved and it creates the correct file structure also.

Am i the only person thats noticed when you assign a picture or ringtone to a contact it adds a extra copy of that name in the SIM contacts

Also that when startinig the camera it takes 2 shots to get a the flash to work properly or is that just coincidental that the 2 replacements i've had carried the same fault

if its something that'll be ironed out in a firmware update i'm not fussed i just wanna be sure i'm not alone on this topic

I hope i'm not the only one with this little problem( i read through half this thread and didn't find this query)

When i speak to some people(probably with god connection and/or good phones) i get distorted sound during parts of the call. Any one got this problem? Is it a hardware issue or a firmware issue do think?
I only get it when speaking to some people and it isn't distorted the whole time during the call. Just when the person speaks out a little louder.
It's not that disturbing and to be honest i don't really want to send my phone for repair. But i would like to know what this is about.
Thanks

One other thing guys. When you press a button to wake the phone up and the keypad LEDs come on, do yours all come on at once? The bottom right corner LEDs seems to come on a bit after the rest.

Mine does the same and someone posted this already.

@indup
Thanks, I'd read that, but it was just that it didn't light up in any sort of sequence (it looked like there was something wrong with the bottom right corner). However, a YouTube video confirms mine is working correctly.

I'm sorry if this was asked before:

How many lines of text maximum are visible at once when:

1. composing a text message / SMS; and
2. reading SMS?

Thank you.

Has anyone figured out why SE bothered to include a sliding lens cover? As far as I can tell it's just a gimmick. Mine has a clear plastic cover on the outside of the lens which is likely to get scratched/dirty and will degrade the picture. The lens cap is behind this and therefore offers no protection.

Or am I missing something? Should I be able to remove the outer clear cover from the lens assembly??

the reason is that they can unify the start of the camera function to be completely software controlled and triggered from anywhere within the user inferface. In previous models (k800), you could launch Camera from the menu, but it still requires a second physical action from the user, which was to open the shutter. Once inside the camera UI, a user could back out and be back into the phone UI, but the lens cover is still open. Also, if the user is a few menus deep inside the phone UI and opens the lens cover, the cam UI will not start, and now your lens cover is open. OR the lens cover could be opened, the camera opened, then it times out, exits from the camera UI , but the lens cover is still open.

So basically...theres a lot of situations where the physical state of the lens cover (open/closed) won't truly reflect whether or not the camera is active.
Giving over control of the lens cover to the hardware itself eliminates these situations, as it knows when to open and close on its own.
