So to the people who own and have used the Diamond Touch, what is the verdict? I have read conflicting reviews on it. The points of contention generally are:
- battery life. Some have described this as abysmal at best, and some even worse than that.
-sluggish interface - apparently while the 3D Touchflo is great eye candy, there are reports of serious lag and delay.
-Self resets - some have said it resets itself from time to time, 5 times in 3 days was reported by one user. This conjured memories of the P990 in it's early days?

I am seriously considering getting the HTC Diamond as I have lost faith in SE's ability to deliver the X1 as advertised, given their history with high-end devices of late (P990 anyone?!)

Your constructive advice/response will be greatly appreciated.

I would also be extremely interested in hearing some opinions!

especially with the new firmware!

I am thinking either Samsung Omnia or Diamond...

Unfortunately SE doesnt have a similar phone, and i feel like being kicked out by force by the SE Management ...

JUST WANT A SIMILAR P1i PHONE BUT COMPETING WITH THE LATEST PHONES!!!! anyone listening????

Hi all

My cousin has just purchased a htc diamond and he is having problems syncing his contacts using outlook express.
The phone is recognised by activesync but it just doesn't send his contacts to the diamond.
He would be grateful for your help.

Thanks

OMFG this is a crap phone!

Had it for 2 days, it sucked so bad. Even after the update.

GUI is SLOOOOOW, so non-reactive.

Screen is nice though.

I was SO ready to love this phone, but it was 100% dissapointing.

mine is also really quick. a very noticeable difference following my recent upgrade to the rom and the SPL lock, and the GPS lock is quite a bit quicker than on the TyTN II which I already thought was pretty good!

@zootzoot, does he use Vista or XP? IF Vista, I came across this in another forum:
http://www.microsoft.com/wind[....]ista/features/sync-center.aspx
Hope it helps.
