The DEV preview is pretty much beta.. its nice that you are testing it for Microsoft, but be aware

I wish I had never updated now my power/lock key is playing ALOT now
Screen also flashed in funny negative colours I now officially ruined my phone. Been trying to flash it back which you can do but following the instructions seems to be fruitless
I managed to flash an Android phone before but this one is driving me nuts. It keeps asking me to sign into Nokia Firmware Servers or something through the Care Suite but I can't
I downloaded a stock firmware with some help from a fellow Esato member Del but I still cannot do it

Turn it off and on. Factory reset. And try to flash it again.
I know you know all this but I had a problem once that drove me nuts all day. Then someone said, reboot. I just didn't think of it due to panic.

Already did a reset but still the problem is there. The phone was great on WP8 I knew I shouldn't have upgraded 😞

The camera on this continuous to impress. I looked at some snaps here
http://forums.wpcentral.com/n[....]1520/250141-11.htm#post2476109
and I have to say that its an overachiever
You can shoot in RAW and with a bit of work in PS you can easily surpass any direct competitor in the segment. Even the JPEGs are very clean.
I have a feeling that the SoC helps a lot here.. the 1020 really needed a more potent DSP to shine..

Yes it is a great camera. The only area where it falls down is lowlight video it is quite grainy. Here is a video I done of Mused a tribute band to Muse I seen live this week. The sound is excellent but the video is not so under lowlight. Some others I did came out a bit better.

Restored both my 1020 and 1520 last night using Nokia Software Recovery tool, took about 3 mins once the firmware was downloaded. The only issue that really bothered me about the preview was the massive heat build up and power usage. Roll on the summer for the Cyan update
Bono forget Nokia Care Suite etc. Just download the Nokia Software Recovery tool, plug in the phone and away you go. It will tell you its going to restore the same firmware as is already on the phone, it wont though because WP 8.1 isn't on the Nokia servers so youll get the latest WP8 firmware. Easiest phone flash ive ever done, and ive done a few over the years

There must be pretty substantial changes under the hood for the preview version to have so many issues
http://forums.wpcentral.com/windows-phone-8-1-preview-developers/
They shouldn't let the public have access, but I guess it gives them a bigger beta tester pool to draw data from
