You beat me on that
"The Sony Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet are the first devices to get MHL 3.0 support, which is great to see. The new standard allows the native output of 4K2K Ultra High Definition (UHD) video through a single cable, as well as being able to charge the phone at the same time (up to 10W).
Another core feature is increased data bandwidth, enabling concurrent 4K video and high-speed peripheral support of mass storage and input devices such as a touch screen, keyboard and mouse.
The demo video below shows an Xperia Z2 outputting 4K video to a Sony 4K television. You can see that the TV remote can be used to control the video (play pause, rewind, forward etc). This is similar to functionality we have seen before with TV’s that had CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) enabled HDMI ports.
MHL 3.0 Specifications
• 4K (Ultra HD): Support of 4K formats up to 2160p30
• Simultaneous high-speed data channel
• Improved Remote Control Protocol (RCP) with support for peripherals such as a touch screen, keyboard and mouse
• Power charging up to 10W
• Backward compatible with MHL 1 and MHL 2
• Latest HDCP 2.2 content protection
• Enhanced 7.1 surround sound with Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD
• Connector agnostic – uses as few as five pins
• Support for simultaneous multiple displays

BTW...
It is the first timee that I see a poll where an Xperia WINS! I couldn't believe my eyes
On an italian site, famous italian droid site, called HDBlog they put up a poll where they asked to the user if they prefer Samsung S5, Xperia Z2, the all new HTC One or if they would prefer to remain with their phone...
after 2500 votes (more or less)
1st is Xperia Z2 with 39% of votes
2nd is the all new HTC One (PLEASE GOD MADE THE NAME BE DIFFERENT) with 28%
3rd place there are 24% of the people, who would prefer to keep their phone
4this the Samsung S5 with only 9% of the votes!
I was shocked
! than happy

By the way...
reading the white paper there's written that it supports H265 encoding, that it has a 2,2 MPx front camera (instead of 2,0 as the Z1), that it is capable of SlowTalk (during calls), that is supports Stylus and pen...
Also on the italian store preordering the Xperia Z2 and adding 1 euro will give you an NFC music reciever!

guys in a video I've seen that sliding down with one finger opens the notification tray, sliding down with two fingers opens the quick toggles tray instead... Very useful indeed!
Sadly I cannot remember or find the video!:-/
The 2 finger function is standard in stock Google. My nexus 5 does it no problem. I can't remember if jelly bean had it but KitKat defo does.
RE the processors in z2 and s5... There really doesn't even need to be a discussion about it since the differences are so minimal. And apart from benchmarks, (which I find completely irrelevant) I don't see there being any major differences in real world performance. RAM and software optimisation will determine that.
I don't think Tszep_GP meant any harm. He was merely posting confirmation. This place really needs to be more civilsed
@Tszep_GP
How do you fancy the Proteas chances of getting a result in this final test?

There was some discussion before regarding this matter, the problem was that the 801 announcement wasn't clear...
AnandTech.com which is trusty, mentioned that only the AC stepping is 801, the AA and AB are both 800...
It was creepy as the Jump between AA - AB was huge, but from AB - AC wasn't...
The main different is the higher GPU clock, the main CPU clock is already higher but the GPU clock jump is huge...
The AC only differ from AB by having a 19MHz GPU clock rise + 0.2GHz CPU clock + support for eMMC 5.0 nothing to worry about as we can be 95% sure that Z2 doesn't have an eMMC 5.0 chip inside... and the different in clocks are very small to notice... I can guess also that we might see Z2 perform better in benchmarks than S5 coz of wonderful Sony optimisation vs Samsung crap !!

Xperia Z2 is a beast guys. The one should have it in hand to believe how good this thing is really. It sound like just a small step but it really is a big one from a customer point of view.
Even though it`s wasn`t final product Sony makes more than 20 Z2`s at their stand and Samsung didn`t show S5 to the public at WMC, just some private showing for the press.
- Xpera Z2 have incredible display which puts S4 display into shame, even though I heard S5 has much brighter Amoled (edit: than S4).
- sound is really pleasent - not so loud but usual Sony sound with much clearer highs than anything else.
- noise canceletion is my favourite feature of Z2 cause I use my smartphone for listening to music and this is a breaktrough in my oppinion.
- duestures works just fine
- camera still need to get postprocessing right but it`s better than Z1, the background defocus and slow-mo video works just as expected and I`m a fan of the former.
- user expirience is just so smooth and consistent that one of my friends admits she`s now a fan of Z2 and even though is big she thinks about of switching from iPhone after 4 years.

This!
And Graeme Smith hasn't been much help lately, sad that he decided to retire though, bring in De Kock!
