I can only agree... if you are planning on spending this amount of money on something which can realistically have a fault or two, like all electrical devices, then I always find it best to purchase from a reputable shop, or somewhere you can return the thing to and speak to someone face to face... it is easier to fob someone off over the phone than it is face to face (though it is of course still possible ;o))... If this costs a few pounds more, then I personally prefer it...
It also helps if a certain store you purchase from has a reputation to keep, and want to be seen to be customer friendly... whilst I admit there aren't many of these around, there must be even fewer of them on the internet...as i suppose this thread proves... I am not against purchasing from the internet, but I draw a line at the value of the item I wish to purchase, and also consider how soon I need it... In fact i have had some cracking deals, much cheaper than the high street, though I have also cancelled many because they couldn't deliver on time, and I could get it elsewhere... and I did consider purchasing from OSPS, but am certainly glad I never shared my credit card details with them...
Which brings me on to the question of taking money before dispatching... I have never heard of such a thing... and am fairly certain that no major companies do this... ok, so a check that the card is actually usable is fine, but they need only deduct a few pence to work this out, which is often stated by other mobile retailers... I can't see how deducting the full amount before dispatch can save time, as is mentioned on this topic somewhere... if they ain't got the product in question, and won't have it for an indefinite period, then they have a very long time to complete the order process indeed!

Am I the only one waiting now? Has everyone else cancelled?

Why not get it from O2 or CPW for free and save yourself £70 then cancel your order and get your money back
